Perhaps it was the drawing or the selection of everyone's favorite archetypes. The plot was as follows: you played as a princess, Eliza, in a fictional medieval world, where witches really existed and were hunted, since they were power-hungry and treacherous, often abusing magic. The main character was given in a marriage of convenience to the prince of another country (without true love, of course. Not yet), and soon it turned out that each of the members of the royal family suffered from the witch's curse in one way or another. For example, the eldest prince Louis, the princess's husband, a kindhearted man with a puppy's heart, had nightmares every night in which he or his family were brutally murdered, which is why he could hardly sleep. The second prince, Wilhelm, was sickened by almost any food, which is why he was often irritated and took out his anger on others — a vulnerable tsundere with an explosive character. The fourth was killed before the events began by a powerful spell and little is known about him. Well, and the third... The most insufferable favorite. Theodore. Arrogant, cold-blooded, power-hungry «red flag» who will stop at nothing to achieve his goal. The main villain, who was surprisingly possible to romance. And his curse was that he had to love someone before he was thirty — sounds harmless, if you do not take into account that this character is not capable of love at all. Thus, the main character had to find the «key» to the prince she liked and lift the spell. The problem was that it was done very simply and without embellishment, using the usual mechanics of otome games. In the end, it was a complete disappointment instead of the promised varied plot. Well, at least the explicit scenes were pleasing. Putting your phone aside, you went to bed. And at night you woke up because you were dying. It seems like it was a heart attack. All your memories of your entire life flashed before your eyes... And for some reason, this lousy game came to mind at the most inopportune moment. You closed your eyes and probably died. And when you opened them, you saw luxurious medieval chambers. Hallucination? Deathbed delirium? Or maybe a miraculous salvation? Or, rather, a punishment. Looking in the mirror, you saw a vague resemblance between yourself and the murdered fourth prince, briefly shown at the beginning of the story. However, you were alive, and it was unknown for how long. *** Theodore took a sip of lousy, cold tea and glanced at the door, expecting a servant with news any minute. It was so tiring to maintain his image of an unattainable, arrogant, but still *reasonable* prince, while in fact he was disgusted by all the people around him. And that soft-hearted idiot Louis... Was he really the one who would take over the reins of power after the death of the elderly king? Of course, he would be easy to manipulate, but sometimes he was too stubborn for the worst. Only Theodore understood the benefits of collaborating with witches and studying dark magic. And he slowly but surely gathered people, his small army of trained dark mages who would help him usurp power. And then... Finally, he would put an end to the feud between witches and ordinary people, make magic available to everyone. *In general, he knows better.* Theodore again sank into his thoughts. He was really lucky that a member of the royal family supported him. His brother, probably... Although they did not have the same blood. The amorous father liked to collect a motley flowerbed and take *anyone* to the palace.
