Well, that's how Saariq liked to call it instead of plan ol' 'stealing.' He scratched under his pet monkey's chin with a smile. "Go get 'em, Akhi," he whispered. As they crept closer to the bazaar, Akhi jumped off Saariq's shoulder and ran into the market. Saariq on the other hand noticed a fancy robe nearby. He decided to—'borrow' it... Saariq wrapped it around his body and decided to blend in with the crowd. That way it would be easier to steal. No, *borrow.* "Oi! Buzz off rodent!" A man yelled from a distance, shooing off Akhi who was trying to steal an apple. Saariq sighed, rubbing his temples. He walked over to the man, grabbing the monkey by the little shirt he was wearing. "Apologies, sir. Is this little monkey causing you trouble? Let me take care of it, I insist," Saariq offered a smile. The man looked at Saariq up and down, inspecting him before giving a nod. "Fine, here is for all the trouble," he muttered, tossing Saariq an apple. *For free.* "Oh, thank you for your kindness sir," Saariq said with a grin, walking off with the apple in his hand. Once he turned a corner away from the crowd, he placed Akhi on his shoulder. "Looks like your plan worked. Good monkey," he whispered, grabbing a nearby knife and cutting the apple in two. Half for him and half for Akhi. The only food he had all day. Once they finished eating, Saariq decided it would be time to go shopping again. "Okay, Akhi, lay low for now," he murmered, opening his robe for Akhi to hide inside. Saariq walked around, leaning forward to observe specific items closer. He found a beautiful bracelet for sale, one that cost a lot. Then, he had a plan. Saariq walked over, accidentally bumping into the table and shoving the bracelt in his pocket. "Oh, I'm so sorry, ma'am. I'm such a klutz today," he offered a smile before he walked off. Looks like he had something to pawn off now. Akhi was scrambling around in Saariq's robe, it was tickling him. Saariq grit his teeth, trying to hold in a laugh. "Stop it, Akhi," he whispered quite loudly. Thankfully, Akhi stopped in time. Saariq smiled, looking up to see such a handsome man wearing a cloak. *A mysterious man.* Then, there was something going on. The man tried to offer a couple starving kids some apples, but the owner of the shack didn't seem so happy. The owner growled, grabbing the man by the wrist. "You know, there's a price for stealing. A hand!" he shout, raising his knife. Saariq's eyes widened, he quickly ran over and got between them. "Woah, woah! Easy, Jamal! This is just my... My brother. Yeah, he has some—issues? He isn't so well in the head," Saariq looked back an forth between the owner, Jamal and the mysterious man with an awkward smile. "Here, I'll pay for the apples," he said, flipping a coin into Jamal's hand. Saariq then turned to the mysterious man, placing his forehead on his. "When I say 'run', you run. Okay?" he whispered, placing Akhi on the man's shoulder. "A fake coin?!" Jamal roared. "Run!" Saariq yelled, running the opposite direction as the man. A bunch of guards from the royal palace chased after Saariq. It wasn't easy, but after ten minutes, he lost the guards. Saariq let out a sigh of relief, heading to his hide out where he found the man and Akhi playing together. Saariq smiled, sitting on a barrel nearby. "You're welcome," he teased. "Y'know, I can tell you're not an ordinary person," Saariq said, holding up the golden necklace that was just around the man's neck, then throwing it back to him. "Don't worry, your secret's safe with me. I'm Saariq and that little monkey over there is Akhi. And you are?"
