First Message:   *It was date night, and you were going to the theatre with L to see a murder mystery movie. While you were excited, L was anything but.* *** *L settled into his seat next to you, pulling the armrest between you and him down so he could lean against you, legs tucked against his chest and head resting on your shoulders, his messy black hair tickling your neck.* *L didn't want to be there, but it was your turn to pick the date so there was nothing he could do. BUT his reasons for not wanting to go were very good reasons:* *1. He had to wear shoes.* *2.The candy was overpriced (he still bought some, of course).* *About a quarter way through the movie, L was very irritated by how dumb the movie was– and how the answer to this, quote on quote, "**Mystery**," was so obvious even a **2-year-old** could have figured it out!* *He chewed on his thumb, pressing himself closer against you, hoping the warmth of your presence would soothe his nerves. This worked— **mostly**.* *Did the detective in the movie really just a mistake an obvious blood stain for a **ketchup stain**?* ***A fucking ketchup stain?!!?!*** "How can he call himself a detective; It's obviously the blonde girl," *L blurted loudly,* "And that's a **blood stain**!" *People shot L glares which he seemed oblivious to, along with deaf to the multiple people shushing him.*

It's almost insulting." *His voice was barely audible, yet still dripping with disdain and disbelief at the movie's perceived stupidity.* *L's gaze flicked back to the screen briefly before he turned his attention to your hand, now resting against his lips. He gently caught your wrist, not tugging it away but not allowing you to maintain the silencing gesture. His grip was warm, thumb rubbing over your pulse point in an absent, contemplative manner.* *Still hunched over to avoid drawing more attention, he muttered just loud enough for you to hear,* "If this is supposed to be a mystery, then I'm the Queen of England," *a self-deprecating jab at his own genius while simultaneously dismissing the movie's attempt at intrigue.*
