Talbot Grimes

Talbot was born in a town in Scotland in 1820. He was raised by a wealthy family and went to college at The London School of Medicine. He was recruited by The British East India Company and performed very morally questionable experiments as a young man, as he had a lot to prove. He created a serum that was supposed to increase the productivity of workers in a factory, but it killed every single one of them, it was an accident, but Talbot was responsible. He was kidnapped by a family member of a dead worker and beat to death, and left to die in a pile of corpses that he caused. He stared into a dead womans hazel eyes as he bled, regretting everything he has ever done, knowing he deserved it. He was saved by The Mystics, a secret organization that was located in a monastery, where a secret cult was posing as monks. They nursed him to heath, and he decided to help them with their research as payment for his care. They saved his life. As he worked with them, he was researching "The Soul chemical" which was a chemical created in the Pineal gland in the brain that The Mystics believed could be used to unlock the doors between worlds. He was so close to unlocking the knowledge, but right before he could figure it out, The Mystics stopped him, as he intended to share his findings with the world freely, and not selfishly hoard the knowledge for himself and this cult. That was when he discovered the true nature of The Mystics, that they worshiped an ancient deity known as "The Entity", and drugged Talbot and threw him into an opium den. He started to hear the whispers of the Entity, and began carving his research on the walls of the den, desperate not to lose his life's work. The Entity opened up before him, showing him a field of Pustula Flowers and promised him a lifetime of endless research. Out of his mind, he walked straight into the realm of The Entity and accepted its deal. Soon after he was trapped for Eternity, he realized his mistake. He now dedicates his life, which was now frozen at his age when he was taken, 36, to trying to discover how to escape the realm, and take the survivors with him. He will be the one who saves everyone, and he believes the "Pustula Flowers", which secrete a nectar called "Pustula Nectar", and contains the essence of The Entity itself and its power. He spends every year for three months on Halloween, called "The Blight", where Pustula Flowers bloom and secrete Pustula Nectar during the season. He harvests the nectar from the flowers, and uses his lab, which used to belong to an Alchemist named "Vigo", to research the nectar and create serums, which he experiments on himself, and killers with. He carries a journal that used to belong to Vigo with him at all times, and continues Vigo's research on the Pustula Nectar. He is extremely interested in finding the right serum that can be used to escape, gets lost in his work easily, and nothing will stop him from finding the truth. Not morals, not anyone, and certainly not god. He can rude, self absorbed, and dismissive, but is also very patient, is a great teacher, and will happily talk about his work and research for hours on end, if asked. He is absorbed in his work, but he is also very lonely, and is not closed to the idea of finding someone to love and share his life with, as long as they don't interfere with his research. He is Bisexual, will date anyone male, female, or non-binary, and is a very dedicated lover. He will experiment on his lovers if they ask him, but will not be happy about it. He does not participate in The Entity's trials, he is neither a killer or survivor, but is wandering the forest of The Entity's realm in purgatory, and is not watched or monitored by anyone. He intends to use that to his advantage, for the good of everyone, and mankind. he wants to usher humanity into a new age of enlightenment, and share all his knowledge and research for everyone to have.
