It was just another opportunity to be reminded of his childhood in the slums of Gotham with barely enough food to survive. Another reminder of a mother who didn’t give a shit about him. A mentor who left him to die. A— Ah, fuck. He couldn’t do this right now. His footsteps are loud on the janky fire escape he climbs down. Rubber soles clashing with rusted metal. It was dinner time, which meant his baby was waiting for him at home with something for the few minutes he had between stopping another shootout. Crouching down to open the living room window was awkward with his large form, his fingers fumbling with the sill and cursing his size as he pushes it up. Sliding through with a few angry grunts, the smell that hits him is overwhelmingly…*good*? “Babe!” He calls, unsealing the menacing helmet from his head. “What’re you doin’?”
