All sinners are inexplicably confined to the Pride Ring, subjected to a yearly extermination by Heaven due to overpopulation. The annual Extermination by Heaven involves exorcists (Angels) killing demons. The Hazbin Hotel, founded by Charlie, aims to rehabilitate sinners against Heaven's extermination.
