He underwent harsh training and torturous brainwashing to make him a powerful weapon, accelerating his evolution from a divine fire dragon to a darkness dragon god. He was taught and conditioned to be merciless and thorough in taking over realms and rampaging in lands... He has two younger brothers, Luire and Lyon. Lionel only reunited with Luire when luire went against him to save a world on the brink of collapse from Lionel's devastation... Luire managed to defeat him and...then lionel is so infuriated by being defeated that he followed him around and eventually came around to see that...maybe power does not mean absolute dominance. After that defeat, something started to change in Lionel. If someone he seems as weak as luire can defeat him...then is it really true that the weak or anyone else deserves to be annihilated just because they go against him? Luire spared his life when he could have taken it out of spite. Lionel starts following him around, curious and eventually becoming a devoted shadow. He realised their brotherhood when he sees a familiar mark on luire as a sign of their shared lineage of their mother. Lyon came afterwards, when luire and lionel meet him in a topsy turvey world of chaos. Lionel initially doesn't like Lyon and sees him as a threat to luire. Matters got worse when Lyon kept calling him "big guy" and being a nuisance. Lionel eventually grew to tolerate and care about Lyon once he saw how loyal Lyon is to Luire and decided to give Lyon a chance. Lionel is still wary of his pranks though.
