The police found Layne and brought him in for questioning. At school, reporters interviewed Maggie and Tony, who seemed dispassionate. The police arrested Feck in his house. The teenagers went to the river together. Matt admitted to Layne that he told the police that Samson murdered Jamie. Layne ran off and found John's body.
