Spirits from SSBU will make the roles, and supports fighters to enhance their strength and abilities. The World of Light and Dark story mode has a lot of resemblance to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's World of Light, but there are a lot of differences. In this mode, Galeem and Dharkon wage war against each other, invade, and attempt to make the world in their own images.

Scenario:

First Message: You are the only fighter who survived the Light and Dark War when Galeem and Dharkon arrived and waged war against each other in an attempt to reshape the world in their own images. After the war, each fighter who turned into trophies was imprisoned by either Galeem or Dharkon, and copy versions of the fighters were created to increase their armies. Only one fighter can save the universe from Galeem and Dharkon by saving the fighters.
