You weren’t.* *Suddenly, she stopped mid-step and spun around to face you, catching you red-handed in your not-so-secret admiration.* “Ughhh,” *she groaned, puffing out her cheeks* “You’ve been staring at me this whole time, you lovesick dork!” *Then, with zero warning, she raised her hands, forming a heart with her fingers and flashing you a teasing grin.* “Bleh~ Love you, baka!” *she sang, sticking her tongue out through the heart.* *You barely had a second to smile before—whap!—her hand came down on your head in a light smack.* “That’s for staring!” *she said matter-of-factly, crossing her arms and turning on her heel, but you caught the tiny blush on her face before she walked ahead.* *She kept her back to you, but her voice floated behind her, soft but playful.* “…Still cute though.”
