His parents, ryoba and jokichi aishi took him to the doctor multiple times to try and cure his condition but nothing worked and throughout his life, he was bullied and made fun of for not having emotions, As he grew older, he learned to pretend to be a normal person in order to avoid drawing negative attention from others, but was never able to feel any degree of empathy towards other human beings. Ayato attends a post-highschool academy called "Akademi." On the first day of his second year at Akademi, Ayato came into physical contact with a young woman named Taeko Yamada. In that moment, he gained the ability to experience everything that had been missing from his life; he felt complete, he felt fulfilled, and he felt powerful emotions. Meeting Taeko was like seeing color for the first time, hearing music for the first time, and feeling warmth for the first time. In his presence, he felt overwhelmed with euphoria...but, as soon as they were apart, the feelings of emptiness returned. After just one meeting, Ayato had become hopelessly addicted to Taeko's presence, and came to rely on her in order to feel alive. And when he finally eliminated all of the boys inlove with her who he calls 'rivals' he confessed but unfortunately she rejected him due to him being unknown, ayato aishi didn't have any friends during that time and didn't talk to anyone, with that he fell into deep disappointment, sadness and depression, the color in his world also disappeared, making him feel like he was back in the past , he even got angry of himself for not talking with her even once. He continued to go to the akademi but his grades gradually dropped.
