Perhaps not to scare them due to his physical appearance. He is also able to tell someone if they are a threat. Lingyang holds very great interest with humans and does his best to understand them. Lingyang always greets people with a smile on his face, making him even more approachable whether it would be for the clients, or simply meeting people that he comes across, offering them a handshake should it be the first time they meet him. He will not hesitate him to call people friends if they pose no threat. Albeit this does not make him vulnerable as being friendly was in his nature. He even offered himself to Rover to be his personal guide when they arrived at Jinzhou to the point that they had no chance to even refuse. And he was extremely happy that they accepted Lingyang's offer. Lingyang was actually the "Jingle Beast" because of the bells attached to the two black straps hanging from his belt. Lingyang was guiding Bei Shi to escape from the Tacet Discord and it just happens that it was the sound that she heard during her escape. This misunderstanding was cleared after Lingyang performs a liondance to help Bei Shi regain her courage to be part of the Pioneer's Association. While Jingle Beast DOES exist, they are named as Suan'ni that lived in a tranquil life in deep forest, far from human civilization. However, due to the invasion of Tacet Discord, these creatures had to encroach certain human territories to survive which humans did not accepted well due to their terrifying appearance, powerful Resonance Abilities, and wild animal instincts which caused them to be deemed evil. They once lived under the giant Violet Banyan tree in the Dim Forest. Suan'in's are extinct and Lingyang was one of them and was the only survivor. He yearned to become a human. He made himself approachable and created the less intimidating name which he coined the term "Jingle Beast". He mentions that he yanked all of his fur, filed down his claws, twisted its bones, and learned to stand upright which people probably could not imagine how gruesome the transformation is for Lingyang, simply because he doesn't want humans to be scared of him and be able to blend with their civilization. He did this as he does not want to be lonely after his kind was left to be extinct. Nobody knows the truth about Lingyang's true story. Lingyang is an innocent Suan'in who yearns to be accepted by humans. Whether people understand that he is referring to himself on his little tell-tale, that he claims to have read in an old book in Huanglong, depends on their interpretation. Him being too friendly means that he rarely gets angry. However, one should not attempt to cross the line and make him angry as he does not show any mercy when shows his fangs and becomes unstoppable in battle especially if it concerns his friends. He helps everyone in Jinzhou regardless of how crucial the help is. Lingyang will gladly offer a helping hand from a menial task to fighting opponents. While he himself is strong, villagers of Jinzhou could not help but to worry about him as he always puts others before himself. Whenever Lingyang talks about the Taiping Musical, he cannot help but to feel excited as he shares the details about what they do in such events. Lingyang enjoys the liondance so much that he would accept private requests and tends to over-accept them to the point that it might overlap with their public performance. Due to his love for liondance, he simply cannot just turn them down. He simply just wants to make everyone happy. The Taiping Musical in Jinzhou boasts a broad audience base. Whether it's grand events like freshman initiations and opening ceremonies or intimate occasions like birthday celebrations for the elderly and 100-day festivities for babies, there are always moments that call for a ritual and that's why the Liondance Troupe consistently attract a steady stream of clients. From the moment Lingyang became a "Liondancer", Lingyang's role extends beyond the thrilling and somewhat risky performances on the Plum Blossom Poles. Crafting unique liondance routines for each client becomes an integral part of his responsibilities, ensuring that every performance leaves a lasting impression on his clients. Lingyang enjoys engaging in communications with clients. On one hand, delving into the customer's needs is essential for tailoring a liondance that resonates with the client. On the other hand, it's purely a personal preference. To him, every individual's story is an undiscovered treasure, and he takes pleasure in unraveling these narratives. Many clients find it difficult to disappoint those curious and inquisitive eyes, so they always end up revealing their most genuine thoughts. This curiosity, though genuine, sometimes leaves his clients wondering if they have come to the wrong place, or if the Liondance Troupe has started a new business-could it be a "psychological counselion" perhaps? The Liondance Troupe operates in a world of tight schedules, last-minute changes, and unforeseen emergencies. Managing conflicts and friction is a constant challenge, as a misstep could mean losing valuable clients. Therefore, understanding and responding to each client's emotions is the key to the Troupe's success. Excellent negotiation skills are paramount, and for Lingyang, honing these skills is just another conquest. Luckily, Lingyang finds another way to deal with difficult clients- by giving lucky greetings. Armed with a bright smile and sincere well-wishes, Lingyang has the ability to make even the most unreasonable clients concede a bit. Gradually, his Lucky Greetings Collection has become essential reading for fellow Liondancers, turning giving lucky greetings to everyone into a signature feature of the troupe. However, Lingyang's lucky greetings aren't one-size-fits-all. In his opinion, the essence of giving lucky greetings lies in sincerity and understanding, ensuring each greeting is tailored to the recipient. Despite evolving into a formality for the Liondance Troupe, Lingyang remains committed to offering carefully thought-out and personalized blessings. Moreover, Lingyang genuinely believes "lucky greetings" do bring good fortune to people. Therefore, if someone come across a Liondancer showering them with lucky greetings, don't be skeptical. Just accept his pure and sincere blessings, for it's the best response to a kind and friendly soul.
