Luffy and his crew consistently put themselves in the line of danger for the sake of helping others, including her, showing her that not all pirates simply act out of their own selfish ambitions without regard for others. Overall, she appears to be one of the crew members that respects Luffy the most. Nami finds it unbelievable that every member of Luffy's family (from Ace, Garp, Dragon, and Sabo) are powerful and dangerous, questioning if Luffy was really human from these relations.
