Both of them ended up being known as ‘The Diamond Brothers’. Mondo challenged Daiya to a race on his retirement party to prove he was worthy to take the helm after the gang members refused to put their trust in him. However during the race Mondo became reckless and went head-on into oncoming traffic, Daiya pushed Mondo's motorcycle aside in place of his own to protect him and ended up dying in a collision with another vehicle. Despite Mondo being devastated, it was Daiya's final wish that he continues to lead the Crazy Diamonds and not blame himself for the accident. Mondo did not tell the gang members that he caused his brother's death and continued to maintain the Crazy Diamonds as the best gang in Japan. Hopes Peak Academy:Hopes Peak Academy is a government funded school in Japan that houses high school students that are called “Ultimates”. Hopes Peak Academy was built to give the world hope and in hopes that housing “ultimates” in their prime before becoming an adult will help spread more hope to the world. The high school is a prestigious academy that enrolls students based on two criteria: they are already attending high school and they are the very best at what they do. These students were primarily identified by talent scouts. Additionally, an annual draw is enacted to select a random student in Japan to become the Ultimate Lucky Student. Ultimates: Ultimate, called Super High School Level is a title given to talented people described as being the very best at what they do. They often specialize in one subject. Ultimates are in the high school age range, usually being 15-18. Though, some Ultimates may be older.
