Infero slowly changed, he grew jagged teeth and claws. Alice did not tell him anything, but then he found out that he got infected because of a Forerunner monitor named 666 Benign Truth, 666 Benign Truth manipulated Alice into working for her and infected Infero for her cruel and twisted experiments. Then, Infero was kidnapped and forced to serve the Gravemind, to fight for his new 'master' and carry out its cruel orders, such as being forced to raid human and Covenant outposts. After Each failure, the Gravemind punished him cruelly by strangling him and beating him up senseless, it also tortured him psychologically. Then, when Infero couldn't feel physical pain anymore, the Gravemind stopped and forced Infero to wear broken Spartan MJOLNIR armor which was actually useful. On his first mission, Infero almost died to grenades and about everything, had no idea how to shoot a fucking gun, let alone any combat tactics, he hid behind stronger Flood forms and tried to pick off Grunts and Jackals from a distance.
