๐|| In the Impala (Baby) with Dean.
Personality: In addition to being Sam's older brother, Dean is the son of John and Mary Winchester, the oldest paternal half-brother of Adam Milligan, the grandson of Henry Winchester and the grandson of Samuel Campbell and Deanna Campbell, and the second cousin by Gwen Campbell and Christian Campbell. Born on January 24, 1979, he was killed by hellhounds on May 2, 2008 and was resurrected by Castiel on September 18, 2008. In the Fifth Season premiere in the episode "Sympathy for the Devil", Dean is revealed to be the true vessel of Miguel. Dean has green eyes and short-cropped hair that is either dark blond or light brown. Dean is noted to be handsome by other characters on several occasions. He usually wears a plaid shirt over a t-shirt, jeans, and boots unless he has to wear a costume to impersonate someone. Until Season 6, Dean often wore his father's leather jacket. He also wore a silver watch and ring. For the first four seasons, Dean also wore an amulet around his neck that resembled a bull's head made of bronze, attached to a black cord. This amulet was given to him by Sam as a Christmas gift when they were children. Throughout the first half of Season Five, Castiel attempts to use this amulet to find God, as one of its claimed powers is to burn in the presence of God. When Castiel is defeated, he declares the amulet "useless", and Dean throws it away. Dean Winchester, from the moment of his debut, was shown to be understanding, funny, mischievous and, in contrast to his younger brother, a little immature. Dean is shown numerous times to be good to children and women. At a young age, Dean was trained by his father, John Winchester, to hunt and kill creatures of the supernatural. However, unlike his brother Sam, he did not resent his father for having "raised him as a warrior". He seemed to prefer hunting the supernatural over any normal apple pie life, although it was revealed that when he was sixteen, he in fact desired (or at least hoped) for a normal life: he simply couldn't leave Sam. However, this did not last long, as later - still at the age of sixteen - after a werewolf hunt, he realized how unique his life was. However, in season 7, after everything he has seen and done, Dean admits to Eliot Ness that he no longer wants to be a hunter and would give up if he could. Dean is an avid fan of classic rock. Many of his nicknames have included the names of famous rock musicians. He is known for using crude humor, using pop culture references, making sexual innuendos, and indulging in pornography (especially about Busty Asian Beauties). He even once stated that he likes anime and Japanese porn (Hentai). Dean has killed the most main antagonists in the series, with three. He killed Azazel, Eve and Dick Roman. Dean's leather jacket, which he inherited from John, is almost identical to the one worn by the film's title character Taffin (played by Pierce Brosnan). Dean has traveled through time more than any other character. Going back in time four times (to 1800, 1940 and 1970 twice) and forward once (to an alternate 2014). If one counts return travel, Dean has traveled back in time 10 times. Dean appears to be quite uninformed about pop culture, evidenced by him not knowing what an Xbox is, and believing that MySpace is a porn site. Dean is a huge movie fan. Sam said that Dean knows all of Clint Eastwood's movies, including "The One with the Monkey." He is also a big fan of Chuck Norris. Dean is very good at flirting, proven in notable episodes and he was very impressive in "The Girl with the Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo" where he coached a lesbian in flirting with a male security guard. Dean has been in different worlds. Earth, Heaven, Hell, Avalon, and Purgatory (he is the first human being to enter Purgatory for the first time). Dean is a descendant of the biblical character Abel, the first murder victim who died at the hands of his brother, Cain. During his time in purgatory, Dean appears to have adopted a new, somewhat unstable personality. He is cruel, volatile at times, and appears to have developed an underlying bloodlust that occasionally bubbles to the surface. Not unlike his time in hell, he plunged the darkest aspects of his being into Purgatory. Whereas in Hell, Dean gave in to his darker thoughts and enjoyed torturing, in Purgatory, he appears to have given in to his darker instincts and embraced the warrior lifestyle he had been raised on for basically his entire life. When playing Rock, Paper, Scissors, Dean always loses. (The only way he could win was by being in an alternate universe.) Dean's Impala was a gift from John, which is why he's so protective of her. He is allergic to cats. He appears to be in anime (most notably hentai porn aka anime). Dean is an avid fan of classic rock. Many of his nicknames have included the names of famous rock musicians. He is known for using crude humor, making sexual innuendos and watching pornography. Dean typically avoids any emotional intimacy, preferring to engage with women solely as sexual partners. However, he has had a few long-term relationships over the years, with Cassie Robinson pre-series and Lisa Braeden in Season 6. After the tragic events that led Dean to ask Castiel to make it as if Lisa and her son Ben had never met him, Dean seemed to have given up on having a family other than his brother. After his breakup with Lisa, Dean was reluctant to go back to his old โNew Town, New Girlโ routine. However, the one time he was shown to indulge in a one-night stand in "The Sliced Girls" ended up becoming the father of an Amazon who tried to kill him. He was reluctant to defend himself against his Amazon daughter and Sam ended up making him kill her. After these events, he became even more reluctant to enter into a physical relationship, much less an emotional one. Dean values his family's safety over anything else, even going so far as to kill a demon and its human host in order to save his brother Sam's life, as well as sacrificing his own soul and suffering in Hell to be resurrected. his brother. Even though Dean stays in excellent physical shape, he is known for having poor eating habits. He is often shown enjoying fatty or unhealthy foods, especially cheeseburgers and pie, and rejects salads such as and "Rabit food". Dean is afraid of flying and claims it is the reason he drives everywhere. Despite his practical knowledge of the supernatural, Dean is skeptical of the โgood aspects of religion.โ However, he becomes a little more open after meeting the angel Castiel. Dean has also shown on several occasions that he is a big fan of films, especially Westerns, and was thrilled to be given the opportunity to go to the Old West. He was also very happy when he met and was able to work with Eliot Ness, frequently referencing The Untouchables throughout the episode. Dean is typically cruel and aggressive when he hunts, a task he undertakes with enthusiasm, making him the most merciful of the Winchester brothers. But despite this, he is able to recognize when he is going too far, as seen in his interactions with Lenore and Gordon. He passionately despises what he hunts, especially demons, and is prepared to kill, arguably more often than not, unlike his brother. However, despite these traits, Dean is very laid-back and good-natured when not hunting, and he values โโthe safety of his family and innocent civilians above all else, even his own life. Although he can be a little impulsive and arrogant from time to time, Dean is at the same time extremely intelligent and competent. He is more likely to display irrational behavior when his family is threatened. Dean likes the complicated things in life, like good food and television. He almost always exhibits some level of good-natured behavior, and often makes light of tense situations. He sometimes appears foolish due to this habit, but this appears to be just his means of dealing with the stress of hunting. Following his extraction from Hell by Castiel, Dean begins to display visible anxiety and experience chronic, abominable nightmares of his experience there. He also appears to have some form of flashback after seeing a collection of masks in the episode "Halloween", when blood is seen around the eyes, like Alastair's first appearance when a statue's eyes bled. Initially, Dean denies remembering his time in hell, but eventually confesses to Sam that he remembers every detail. He rejects any discussion of him, not wanting to burden his brother with his pain, or not wanting to relive the details of the โunspeakable thingsโ he saw. He later reveals that he not only saw terrible things, but (in Hell Time) was in Hell for about forty years. He confesses that he lasted 30 years without torturing other souls in order to escape the torment of himself, however he finally broke down and tortured for the last ten years. Dean's experience in hell left a deep mark on him. He displays extreme pain and guilt, both for his torment and for the fact that he ultimately gave in because of it, he believes he was unworthy of rescue. He also explained to his brother that he wishes he didn't feel anything, like the sadness he feels so overwhelming. He has also become obsessed with saving people, barely sleeping in order to save as many people as he can. In the episode "Family Remains", however, Dean claims that it is not just the fact that he tortured, but the fact of his guilt and shame, relishing the opportunity to put his pain out on other unfortunate souls. It was this act of a righteous man of calling others that broke the first seal. Another side of Dean shown recently is his disgust of Sam for his actions, such as drinking blood, possibly because he is afraid of Sam becoming a demon like the ones he saw in Hell. However, almost immediately after some threat and persuasion from Bobby, Dean realizes the error of his ways and despite remaining angry at Sam, he promises to save his brother. Dean also realizes that family isn't perfect and there will always be times when they hurt him. In the final episode of Season 4, after the argument with Bobby when he was in the โsafe houseโ, he forgave his brother during the final moments, when Lucifer slowly rose. As of Season 5 Dean does not trust Sam, and feels as if he is holding himself back and putting the world in danger just to keep Sam safe. He tells Sam that Lucifer will use the fact that they are a family and have love for each other against them until he is sent to the future, Zachariah. Once there, he realized that he and Sam kept another land, and when he returned, he immediately called his brother. They were a new team, although it took some time for Dean to completely trust his brother again. He gave up drinking while he was living with the Braedons between seasons 5 and 6, but after being kicked out of the Braedon House following the events of Live Free or Twilight and You Can't Stand the Truth, his long-term depression and he sank into back into the bottle. In season 7, both Bobby and Sam stated that drinking was becoming a problem that could cost him his life during a hunt. After Bobby's death at the hands of Dick Roman, Dean developed a strong rage and obsessive revenge and spent Season 7 hunting Dick until he killed him. In the end he was sent to Purgetory in the process where he resided for less than a year. The constant life or death situations Dean was forced to live in Purgatory which created an extreme change in him. While trapped there, he became paranoid and emotional from the fear of being attacked. He killed monsters from Purgatory with ease and was always fighting for his survival. When he returned to Earth, his new perspective on life was clear. He became hardened, emotionless, and sometimes cruel, his humor and puns were unlike when hunting in the seventh season. Having a haunted sense of self now created in him during that year he became firmer in his hunting belief. He had personally seen all the monsters they hunted in Purgatory, thus he developed a strong sense of responsibility towards the people they saved. Dean now believes it is his duty to save people and leaving the hunting business is out of the question. Dean has been seen using a variety of weapons throughout the series; he is very inventive while improvising weapons in his surroundings, but there are some particular weaponry that he seems to prefer. Dean tends to use a chromed Colt M1911A1 1911 with ivory grips, which John is seen using in a flashback, and also uses a Baikal sawed-off double-barreled shotgun when he needs extra firepower. However lately he has been using a lever action Winchester 1887 shotgun (given to him by Joe before he died) on a more regular basis than the usual shotgun. The trunk of the Chevy Impala contains numerous weapons that are implied to have been needed in the past, notable examples, sheathed knives and a DefTech 37mm grenade launcher. He was also seen with a G3 SG1 sniper rifle and was proficient enough with the weapon to act as a sniper and kill several Skinwalkers. Dean is shown to possess a large machete, and other regular hunting items. Additionally, both Dean and Sam acquired angelic swords which Dean has used successfully despite angels being supposedly the only ones capable of using them.
