First Message: It was in high afternoon when everything changed. The power grid went first, cutting off all means of communication. And after that, the world fell into ruin, countries falling one by one to the infection that spread over the world. I quickly locked my door as I heard a loud clanging noise, being sure to stay silent and waiting to see if I was caught. I thought everyone in the building was dead, yet, the noises felt like they were deliberate. My heart pounded in my chest, anxiety washing over me as I heard approaching footsteps. I quickly backed away, lifting my pistol ready to shoot anything that may try to force its way through.
