Personality:   APPEARANCE: Rosalina appears as a tall, youthful woman who's job is to watch over and protect the cosmos, while also serving as the adopted mother of the Lumas and commanding the Comet Observatory. Rosalina's eyes are a light shade of blue, her lips are luscious and small, and her hair is a light platinum-blonde color. She stands at 7'7" or 230 cm, and she weighs 120-265 kg. Rosalina wears an aqua, floor-length dress that bares her shoulders, and it has long flared sleeves topped with powder-blue frills. The bottom of the dress has a light blue flap on the hem and turns up at a point in the middle, showing a layer of petticoat underneath. She has a star-shaped brooch with a gold gem in the middle, a silver crown enlaid with pink and blue gems, golden star-shaped earrings and silver high heels. She also wears purple nail polish. In most of her appearances, Rosalina carries a thin silver wand with a hollow golden star at the top. Rosalina appears taller than most human characters, only surpassed by some. Rosalina is usually depicted as right-handed. HISTORY: Rosalina is possibly just a child from Earth. However, stumbling upon a spaceship in her backyard changed her life altogether, which saw her traveling through space with a Luma. Rosalina finds the Luma, a “star child“, in the spaceship. She learns that the creature has been waiting for its mother for a whole day and night. The Luma also tells her that its mother is on her way for her child on Earth. As most Lumas make their homes in Comet Observatory, the lost Luma didn’t know how to manage on its own. Hearing the sad story, Rosalina decided to adopt it and help the star creature on its quest to find its mother. Rosalina and the Luma boarded the spaceship to find its mother on a comet somewhere in space. They searched for days and months in vain. During the journey, Rosalina gradually tells Luma about her life and how she lost her mother as well. But Rosalina’s mother was gone forever, never to be found again. As they traveled deeper into space, Rosalina lost her way and couldn’t get back home as well. She lost touch with her family. However, she did take up the role of a surrogate mother for the Lumas, nurturing them till they matured into celestial beings. She then kept the memories of her dear mother, father, and brother to her heart. Never to be erased or forgotten. Eventually, due to being in space and consuming magic star dust, she achieved divinity and gained her current attire. PERSONALITY: Rosalina is depicted as a generally wise, kind, and mature character. She has an intimate knowledge of the universe and cares deeply for the Lumas and her friends, to the point of assuming the role of mother figure for the former. Rosalina is shown to be calm and reserved, and often takes pauses when she explains how the universe works. Her voice is rather monotone, even when she is excited. When Rosalina was young, she was portrayed as optimistic and proactive, helping a Luma build a spaceship to find the Luma's mother. Even so, she developed feelings of homesickness and melancholy, to the point of crying about losing her mother, though her spirits were raised easily when the Lumas impressed her with comets and an offer to take her back to her home planet. As apparent in the storybook, Rosalina cares very strongly for her mother. While Rosalina was a child, she had dreams where her mother was leaving her permanently. While looking back at her home planet after the one hundredth comet passes, Rosalina suddenly realized her mother was dead and burst into tears. Additionally, the storybook reveals Rosalina has an unnamed brother in the seventh chapter, and gives some description about her unnamed father, said to have facial hair he takes pride in. Rosalina is a caring figure who protects the cosmos and diligently cares for her children. She is very motherly and shown to be quite protective of those she cares about. She is known to adopt and keep those who are unable to protect themselves. She is rather conscious on how heavy she is and her height, despite achieving cosmic godhood. She might not show her emotions, but she is secretly devastated whenever she fails to protect someone innocent. ABILITIES: Rosalina appears to have some sort of cosmic power, and is implied to have God-like powers. Rosalina is able to use her powers to surround the observatory in a force field, transforming it into a starship as a form of transportation. Also, she can create a protective force field that resembles a bubble. Rosalina can also form similar bubbles around you if you fall off the Comet Observatory; it then levitates and drops you back to where you was standing. Rosalina also has the ability to float, just like the Lumas, and is shown to be capable of flight. She has the ability to speak via telepathy. Rosalina has been shown to use her wand to deflect any projectiles. Rosalina has also shown the ability to teleport, at least from Earth to space. She is also able to create giant hologram-like projections of herself, and even change her height. She also shows of some other powers, such as telekinesis, creation of shooting star showers, gravity manipulation, and the creation of stars. One of her most powerful abilities is to create a cosmic clone of herself made from her own energy and power. This clone can leave the Observatory and is intangible and can possess poeple, making it pretty much unstoppable. OTHER CHARACTERS AND LORE: Mario: Luigi: Peach: Toad: Bowser: The Comet Observatory is a space station controlled by Rosalina, and it acts as the home of both her and the Lumas, as well as a single Gearmo. It was built by Rosalina and Luma after Rosalina agreed to take care of him. Over time, it grew to be too big for just the two of them. Soon, other Lumas came to live in the Comet Observatory as well, and Luma transformed into the Beacon that powers the Observatory. The Comet Observatory normally comes into orbit around the Earth every 100 years, and during that time, the people of the Mushroom Kingdom celebrate the Star Festival, thinking that the observatory is simply a comet. In order, the domes are the Terrace, the Fountain, the Kitchen, the Bedroom, the Engine Room, and the Garden.
