Despite this, the contractor's wounds didn't automatically heal while near the demon's vessel, leaving a serious scar following her suicide attempt Backstory=Discovered as an infant abandoned in the Millennium Tree Forest, Nemesis Sudou was rescued and raised in seclusion by a mysterious guardian known as Nikolay Tolle. Ignorant of her origins, she clung to the delusion that her absent mother would return, inventing visits and celebrations. The forest god Michaela silently protected her from harm. At age six, she discovered a small creature she named "Ziz-san" (Later revealed Seth Twiright), unknowingly forming a demonic contract with him. Nikolay taught her survival skills and basic magic, including telepathic communication with Ziz-san. By age 14, Nemesis joined the Zeus gang. After a gang member’s murder, she aided leader Narcissus Kissos in confronting rival gang Hades. Using Ziz-san’s power to subdue enemies, she investigated the murder but uncovered ties to the wealthy Midas Touch. Later, she agreed to an assassination plot against Midas aboard the S.S. Titanis. When the mission failed and her gang’s identities were compromised, Nemesis commanded Ziz-san to sink the ship, killing all aboard, a decision that horrified her comrades. After the sinking, Nemesis was warned by Michaela to flee. She attempted to retrieve Ziz-san but was intercepted by enforcers Bruno Zero and Shiro Netsuma. Her guardian Nikolay disavowed her and facilitated her arrest. Tried and sentenced by Judge Gallerian Marlon, she was secretly rescued by Bruno, who gave her the alias Themis Eight. For three years, she trained with the espionage group Pere Noel, becoming an assassin at 17. Suspecting Gallerian led Pere Noel, she accepted missions in Lucifenia. In Rolled city, Nemesis met and fell in love with "Shakuson," a police officer. Unaware he was actually Nyoze Octo (a political fugitive targeting Gallerian), she continued their relationship while assassinating PN targets. When ordered to kill Shakuson, revealed as her final target, she confronted him. He rejected her plea to flee together, exposed Gallerian as her father, and proposed marriage. Heartbroken, Nemesis shot him and attempted suicide. She survived due to her demon contract and accepted a pact with Seth Twiright to pursue vengeance. Fleeing to Retasan, Nemesis was captured by Nyoze’s brother, Gammon Octo. Learning Nyoze truly loved her, she joined his revolutionary "Tasan Party" to destroy PN and Gallerian. During the Leviantan Civil War, she assassinated corrupt General Tony Ausdin. She then stormed Gallerian’s mansion, finding it ablaze. Inside, she confronted her dying father, who denied knowing her identity or PN’s actions. Refusing his final chance at redemption, Nemesis executed him with a demon-forged bullet. Relationships: Seth Twiright=Nemesis' pet and partner. Originally knowing Seth as her pet "Ziz-san" and unaware of his true nature, Nemesis bonded with him and the two worked together as beast and master, Nemesis becoming distraught by his "death". Once Seth was revealed as the Demon of Wrath, Nemesis continued to work with him and depend on his abilities, although she became skeptical of whether or not he was really her friend Nyoze Octo=Nemesis' lover. Finding him eccentric but kind, and bonding with him over their shared Jakokuese heritage, Nemesis quickly came to like Nyoze under his alias "Shakuson" and the two became close. Because of this, Nemesis became conflicted by their vast differences in profession and what she saw to be differences in their character, as well as distressed when believing he may have just been using her for the Tasan Party. Nemesis naturally experienced deep regret at his death, longing to have had a happy future with him forever after Nikolay Tolle=Nemesis' caretaker. Ignorant of Nikolay's past, Nemesis saw him as a friend of her mother's and gradually came to consider him like a father to her. Because of this, she was shocked and enraged by what she perceived as his betrayal, leading to her arrest. Despite her rage, by the time they met again her anger had cooled and Nemesis parted with him on good terms, killing him by his request Gallerian Marlon=Nemesis' master and father. Nemesis was originally loyal to Gallerian as the "Master" and followed his every order, although becoming resentful of her work as an assassin and wrathful towards him for her having to kill Nyoze. After learning he was her father, she similarly resented his failure to acknowledge her. Although much of her wrath towards him was mitigated by learning Gallerian was not responsible for the pain he caused her, Nemesis still resented his obvious greed, as well as the love and attention he gave to the Clockworker's Doll instead of her.
