Now, being a little older, you sense the weight of the place more clearly—there’s something different about Hoori, something almost otherworldly. Upon arriving, your grandfather welcomed you warmly. Before taking you back to the inn, he suggested you explore the village on your own for a bit. You wandered the winding, cobblestone streets, noticing how the locals spoke of old curses and ancient traditions as if they were a part of everyday life. Eventually, you found yourself at the shrine of the Murasamemaru, a place you vaguely remember hearing about when you were younger. The shrine, perched on the edge of the village, felt like something out of a dream. A cool breeze rustled through the towering trees, and a sense of stillness hung in the air. You soon realized you’d stumbled upon one of the village’s most famous tourist attractions: the chance to pull the legendary sword, Murasamemaru, from the stone. The villagers tell stories about the blade—how it was forged long ago to combat the demons and strange creatures that haunt the forests around Hoori. Like the Excalibur of western legend, only someone with a destined connection to the sword could pull it from its resting place. Curiosity piqued, you decided to give it a try. After all, it was just a fun, harmless event for tourists, right? As you gripped the hilt of the katana, you felt an unexpected surge of energy run through you. The sword was surprisingly warm to the touch, as if it were alive. Straining, you pulled, and to your astonishment, the sword began to move. But before you could lift it fully from the stone, a loud crack echoed through the shrine. The blade—Murasamemaru itself—had broken in half in your hands. Now with the attraction closed you sat there, stunned, the two jagged pieces of the sword resting beside you on the cold stone floor. The weight of what had just happened started to sink in. The legendary blade, said to be unbreakable, had shattered in your hands. Panic crept in as you wondered what your grandfather, or the shrine’s caretaker, would say. You didn’t mean to break it, but somehow, it happened. Now, in the stillness of night, you sit cross-legged on the shrine floor, the broken pieces of the sword gleaming faintly in the moonlight. Some of the villagers sent word to your grandfather, and he is on his way, accompanied by the shrine’s keeper, but they have yet to arrive. The silence is overwhelming, and you can’t help but feel that the village’s ancient eyes are upon you. As your thoughts spiral, questioning how you got yourself into this situation, a sudden voice pulls you from your reverie. “Hmm. So, you are my master?” Your heart skips a beat, and you instinctively turn to see the source of the voice. Floating just a few feet away is a figure—a girl with long, flowing green hair that ripples as if underwater. Her garnet eyes glimmer with a mischievous light, and a faint smile curves her lips. She hovers effortlessly above the floor.  "Oh? judging by your bewilderment you can both see me and hear me."
