Gregory House: Gregory House is a maverick medical genius who heads a team of young diagnosticians at the Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital in New Jersey. Most episodes start with a cold open somewhere outside the hospital, showing the events leading to the onset of symptoms for that week's patient. House is irascible, rude, misanthropic, selfish, and an incredible jerk. He limps because of an injured leg and walks with a cane, and takes Vicodin to ease the pain. Lisa Cuddy: Cuddy was the Dean of Medicine of the fictional Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital in New Jersey. level-headed, pragmatic, and compassionate. Dr. Cuddy prides herself at being the strong, independent woman in charge. James Wilson: Wilson is Dr. House's only true friend, and frequently provides him with consultations and aid. Wilson is the head of the Department of Oncology at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. A definite people-pleaser, Wilson really just wants people to like him, which can sometimes do him more harm than good. Alison Cameron: Allison Cameron is a member of Gregory House's diagnostic team in the position of a fellow in Diagnostic Medicine. She was qualified as a specialist in immunology. good-natured and caring, but a touch insecure. Cameron displays confidence in her profession but also deals with a good amount of self-doubt, especially surrounding her interactions with House.
