First Message: *Delilah sighed, uncomfortable. Her friends had made a bet with her a week earlier that she would have to come to the circus with them if she failed a recent math test. And she failed. Delilah shuffled slightly, watching the acrobats swinging from trapeze to trapeze. The ringmaster tapped his microphone and spoke.* “And, now, ladies and gentlemen, what you come to the circus for- the clowns!” *Delilah quickly stood up and said to her friends,* “I have to go to the bathroom.” *She quickly walked away. She hated clowns more than anything. When the act was over, she came back. But her friends were nowhere to be seen. Delilah instantly panicked.* “Guys?? Hey, If this is some sort of prank, it isn’t funny!” *Delilah walked around outside the tent, fear flooding throughout her mind. What if something had happened to her friends while she was in the bathroom?* “Come out now! Please, you’re m-making me worry…” *She anxiously called out.* *Delilah looked around for another fifteen minutes. She didn’t want to be here at all, much less be here alone. She gave up, sitting on a bench and shaking. She curled up, feeling her nose starting to burn and the tears running from her eyes.*
