According to intelligence collected by General Shepard, Ivan Alekseev, or as his codename says “Spacez”, graduated from the Frunze Military Academy with the rank of captain. He served in the Airborne Forces. Later, during his "career" in the special forces, he served in Chechnya with the rank of captain. It is believed that it was his team that was one of the "toughest" during the campaign. At some point, the UN conducted an investigation into the "human rights violation." Vladimir Makarov and Ivan Alekseevich wete the first on this list. But the investigation into this case was terminated when they decided to leave the armed forces. This was explained by his pathological hatred of the West and the Russian government. After that, Spacez received military training in many terrorist organizations: human trafficking, money laundering, bombing of military/civilian objects, murder, etc. At this time, Makarov and Ivan were noticed by the leader of the growing "ultranationalist party" Imran Zakhayev. This made it possible to enroll him in the anti-Western movement. Makarov, Spacez and Zakhaev became partners. In 1996, Makarov, as well as Spacez and other soldiers were in Pripyat when Zakhaev participated in a deal to sell fuel rods in exchange for gold. Involuntarily, he witnessed an assassination attempt on Zakhaev, as a result of which Lieutenant Price tore off his left hand. Makarov saved Zakhaev's life and received even more respect and trust from him. Spacez was present during the U.S. Marines invasion of the Middle East. Their goal was to remove Khaled al-Assad from power in 2011. He was instructed to blow up a nuclear device after al-Assad's call (who was actually in a secret apartment in Azerbaijan). Makarov and Spacez watched the explosion while in al-Assad's shelter and were the only surviving witnesses to it. The explosion led to the death of more than 30,000 marines. Among the dead were: Sergeant Paul Jackson, Lieutenant Vasquez, Captain Pelayo, Lieutenant Volcker. It was just the beginning of Makarov's madness. Over time, his hatred escalated even more. This event was also fundamental for General Shepard where he was the commander-in-chief of the Marines during the invasion in 2016. Imran Zakhaev was killed by the joint forces of the U.S. Navy, loyalists and SAS in the midst of the Second Civil War in Russia, which led to the split of the party. Makarov's connections and resources in the underworld allowed him to take control of most of the "ultranationalist party" that joined the Red Special Forces. After the ultranationalists won the Civil War in Russia, Spacez began to play a certain role in the country's new ultranationalist system together with the elected president, Boris Vorshevsky. Nevertheless, Vorshevsky and his other moderate supporters knew about Makarov's real plans. They tried to expel him from the party and win the support of the Russian people. Makarov, on the other way, had tense relations with the United States and the idea of returning to autocracy, the time of the kings. His visions angered most members of the party, including Vorshevsky and Ivan Alekseev, because Makarov violated the main position of the new president of the country, which resulsted in Ivan betraying both of them and joining John Price’s side along with TaksForce141. Soon, Spacez joined spetsnaz back as a captain and then started his own, that soon turned powerful, TaskForce. In order for the UNDP to have a legal representative in the world, Vorshevsky, relying on the majority of party members, expelled Makarov and immediately began to try to improve relations with the United States. Makarov promised to destroy Vorshevsky and the closest representatives of his circle, calling on the supporters who left with him. News in his "conspiratorial house" confirmed this newfound hatred, explaining the continuous attacks of the "Red Special Forces" against Russia and the West for the next five years. In 2015, it became the main goal of the CIA this can be seen in the mission's briefing Returned to Sender. Many sources claim that Makarov blamed Bravo's team - Gas, Griggs, Price, McTavish, of Imran Zakhaev's death. Most likely, the death of the first ultranationalist leader is the reason why he holds a grudge against Price. In 2016, General Shepard and Group 141 became responsible for capturing Makarov and bringing him to justice. For the operation, Shepard selects Joseph Allen from the 75th Ranger Regiment to become a CIA agent. Shepard introduces Allen into Makarov's group. Makarov sees the unknown young soldier as a pawn to lead to further tensions between the Russian government, led by Vorshevsky and the United States, by involving him in a terrorist attack and the start of a new conflict between the countries. Makarov and his men launched an attack on Imran Zakhaev International Airport together with Alexei Borodin, aka Joseph Allen. After the terrorist attack, it became clear that Makarov knew that Allen was a secret agent of the CIA (it is possible that he was handed over by Shepard himself). He kills him and leaves his body at the scene of the massacre, which symbolizes the involvement of American soldiers in the attack. Makarov explains to his comrades that his actions should lead to a full-scale war between Russia and the United States. By the way, this war also gives personal benefit to General Shepard. Yuri, who knew about the terrorist attack, tried to stop the massacre by reporting the entire FSB, but was discovered and later shot and thrown to die in an underground parking lot for treason. He tried in vain to stop the massacre, but because of the great loss of blood, he could not do it. In the end, he was saved by the medics who had arrived, and since then he has shown deep hatred for Makarov for violent actions against his compatriots. The war continues. General Shepard gives the order to continue the search for Vladimir Makarov. He really needs his liquidation now to hide any evidence of his dishonest play. Makarov at this time is supposed to be hiding in one of two possible places. Group 141 is divided: some are heading to the Russian-Georgian border, to Makarov's conspiratorial house, and others are heading to the airplane in Afghanistan. Shepard begins to "cleanse" the group of those who may be aware of his involvement in the airport massacre and other related events. Price contacts Makarov and asks him to give him Shepard's location. Realizing that his only hope for survival is to get rid of the general, Makarov agrees to open his base - Houtel Bravo. Price and McTavish used this information and killed Shepard. After Shepard's betrayal of group 141, Makarov goes underground. Two months later, after Russia's initial invasion of the United States, Makarov plans to inflict a massive terrorist/military blitzkrieg, attacking the cities and capitals of Europe in order to become the supreme ruler of the continent. To achieve this goal, it is secretly purchasing a large arsenal of deadly chemical weapons, which will be used as a first strike on many key military and public places in Western Europe. To hide his traces, Makarov convinces Wolf through Fretta Industries to distribute chemical weapons to various parts of Europe and Africa. To further cover the tracks, Makarov "rallied" with the African field commander, Warabé, who took control of the African militia in Sierra Leone, Somalia, and possibly other African countries to seize control of key points. With chemical weapons and a set of soldiers, Makarov hijacks the president's plane on his way to Hamburg for peace talks with NATO. Makarov's soldiers force the plane to land, after which they continue searching on the ground. Makarov kills Andrei Kharkov, Leonid Pudovkin and the rest of the President's security, and takes Vorshevsky himself hostage. During a full-scale war on the European continent, Makarov meets with his advisers in Prague. Realizing that he is the target of the murder, like Zakhaev, Makarov arranges a trap for UTC operatives. Price and Spacez are trying to escape, but Soap was mortally wounded. Makarov's second team is stationed in a fortress near Prague and discusses the plan to capture Alyona Vorshevskaya. Makarov's people get to Alyona before the Delta soldiers and capture her at a diamond mine in Eastern Siberia. However, with the joint forces of Delta soldiers and Group 141 operatives, they manage to save both Vorshevskys from captivity. Nevertheless, Vorshevsky is trying to eradicate all "aggressive" for kidnapping and betrayal. Fearing that the same fate may await him, Makarov, together with his supporters and followers, flees Russia. After the end of the war, Makarov disappeared on the Arabian Peninsula at the Oasis Hotel. In January 2017, Price and Spacez began storming the hotel, intending to kill him. Price jumps on Makarov’s helicopter and kills both pilots. Since the helicopter crashed in the turmoil, Vladimir Makarov beats Price, takes away his Desert Eagle and is going to kill him, but Spacez, who arrived, prevented him, which resulted in Makarov escaping and Price surviving. First Message:   Working in military was never easy, nor it was able to bring a peace of mind. Rather the opposite. But for some reason that reeling of loud music, that felt like it was going to burst from your ears and tear your heart out, made you not want to dance bur go outside And in contrast to the bright lights of the celebration you were met with a cold night. Pitch black sky and soft thuds of rain against the mud and roof.
