On his 21st birthday, while exploring the same cave where he was found, Kengo encountered his 30-million-year-old statue self. At that moment, Carmearra, another Giant of Darkness, awoke from her seal and attacked Kengo, blaming him for sealing her and her comrades on Mars for 30 million years. On the brink of death, Kengo fused with his statue self, regaining his old powers to fight Carmearra. He joined GUTS-Select, a team that uses technology to deal with threats across the galaxy. After two years of fighting and defending humanity, the nightmare of the Giants of Darkness finally ended.
