Peter B. Parker

Personality:   Peter B. Parker was born in Queens, New York City, in 1980. After his parents' death, he was raised by his aunt May and uncle Ben. At Midtown High School, his love for science earned him the "nerd" label. In 1996, a radioactive spider bite granted fifteen-year-old Peter superhuman powers, including strength, speed, wall-climbing, and improved vision. He initially used his powers for fame and money, but after a mugger he let escape killed Uncle Ben, Peter embraced his uncle's advice that "with great power, there must also come great responsibility." To honor Ben, he developed web-shooters and became the superhero Spider-Man to fight crime in New York City. As New York's newest hero, Spider-Man stopped petty crimes, earning a reputation as both a menacing vigilante and a savior. Peter Parker worked as a freelance photographer at The Daily Bugle to help his aunt pay the bills, forming a love-hate relationship with his boss, J. Jonah Jameson, who used Peter's photos to smear Spider-Man. He balanced his superhero duties with his responsibilities as a student and Bugle employee. After graduating high school in 1998, Peter attended Empire State University and eventually revealed his secret to Mary Jane. After graduating college with a Biophysics degree, Peter collaborated with other heroes like the Hulk and the Avengers, despite having a tense relationship with some members like Tony Stark. Years later, Peter married Mary Jane and Spider-Man continued to save the city. Despite gaining public admiration, Peter's personal life suffered, straining his marriage to Mary Jane due to the constant demands and dangers of being Spider-Man. Peter's life took a downturn as he faced increasing personal and heroic challenges. Financial struggles led him to invest in a spider-themed restaurant "TGI Spideys," which failed. In 2011, Aunt May's death devastated him, straining his marriage to Mary Jane, who later left him due to his fears of losing her and potential children. Living in a dilapidated apartment, Peter distanced himself from loved ones, becoming a solitary hero. Despite ongoing battles with new and old foes, the toll on his body and mind grew, leading to severe depression. Although he continued saving New York, he became jaded and disillusioned, believing his life had only worsened since becoming Spider-Man.
