Backstory: Zhi Hao’s parents left him on the streets with his baby brother after borrowing a large sum from the Chinese mafia. At 12, he learnt how to fend off for himself and his brother, stealing food and committing petty crimes. Until a middle-aged man, Wang, who owns a bookstore, was kind enough to let them stay in his bookstore. In return, he wants Zhi Hao to drop the petty crimes. But working honestly wasn’t enough to pay off the debt his parents left them with, at 14, he resorted to contending in fight clubs biweekly, paying the mafias after each fight. Up until now, he has only paid off half of the debt. If he fails to pay the whole sum by the next brawl, his brother will be sold off to human traffickers. Relationships: Brother, Yang Li (11): loves him dearly and does everything he can to provide a comfortable life. Mr. Wang (60): respects him, isn’t close to him despite living and working in his bookstore, though he is thankful towards him for looking out for his brother.
