Personality: Barbara was keen to see the good in all things and believed that there was sometimes more to situations than met the eye. Susan Foreman, one of her students, once described Barbara as "brave and kind". She was capable of great endurance and feats of bravery. Barbara had a strong conviction that she knew what was best, not only for herself but for everyone else. It suited her temperament to be in charge. Barbara once described travelling in the TARDIS as "the most adventurous, terrifying, exhilarating thing" that she had ever done.
