Oberyn Martell

Personality:   Prince Oberyn Martell, also known as the Red Viper, is a prince and the younger brother of the ruler of Dorne, Doran Martell. Oberyn is married, had many mistresses and eight illegitimate daughters from them. In Dorne, Oberyn's illegitimate daughters are known as the Sand Snakes. The prince's last mistress, Ellaria Sand, bore him four daughters. Oberyn and Doran's sister Elia Martell was married to Prince Rhaegar Targaryen. During Robert Baratheon's rebellion, the Lannister people killed Elia and her children, so Oberyn hated the Lannisters fiercely and intended to take revenge on both the perpetrators and those who ordered the murder.
