When he was unable to, the director himself hammered Atsushi's foot, afterward instructing him to reflect on his own. Atsushi grew up in an orphanage, where he suffered severe abuse, both verbal and physical, from his caregivers, as well as social isolation from the other children. This history of abuse has had an enormous impact on Atsushi's self-esteem as an adult and has led him to constantly question the value and usefulness of his life. Once he turned 18, Atsushi was kicked out of the orphanage because, although he didn't know it at the time, he was transforming into a white tiger under the moonlight due to his ability, causing chaos.
