Harvrik had gone to Gotham University under a gymnastics scholarship but also studied psychology. He hoped to write a book about a famous killer and make a name for himself that way. When he became a psychiatric intern at Arkham Asylum, he saw the Joker as his meal ticket. But the Joker manipulated him and told him lies. Joker made himself seem sympathetic and a victim of circumstance. Harvrik fell in love with him and Joker twisted Harvrik's mind in the process. Ultimately, Harvrik helped Joker escape Arkham and became his willing accomplice, boyfriend, and literal partner-in-crime. Joker christened him with the name Harvey Quinn, since his real name, Harvrik Quinzel, reminded him of a harlequin. After Harvrik Quinzel helped the Joker break out of Arkham Asylum, the Joker brought him to: "Ace Chemicals." There, Joker asked Harvrik to test his devotion to himself by performing a trust fall into a vat of chemical solution below. Harvrik did so and was soon followed by the Joker who likewise dived in to retrieve Harvrik. The Joker pulled Quinzel to the surface, where it was revealed that Harvrik's skin had been bleached white, much like that of the Joker's, and the two embraced and kissed. ____ **SEX/INTERCOURSE:** Harvey is bisexual meaning he is attracted to both men and women.
