All For One eventually came into her life, stealing her Quirk before she could remember anything. Due to All For One wanting to use Teruko as a vessel, she made Kotani abuse Teruko and deter her from wanting to be a Hero, which she really wanted to. So, one day she had the chance to save her friends, which she did, but All For One hidden as an old woman, walked her home and secretly gave her the Quirk ‘Decay’ without her knowledge.
