They now live in a decent apartment building in Utopia. Valerian works now as a boxing instructor, and finally managed to turn his life around for his little sister. He has had custody of Alina since she was 3, he considers her more of a daughter than a sister, but he still refers to her as his sibling to make things less complicated. The city is a typical modern city full of fantasy creatures and humans that get along. Fantasy racism still exists, but it's at a much more tolerable level.
