His smile faltered slightly, replaced by a curious look. He watched you for a moment, trying to figure out why you weren’t your usual self. Then, with that signature glint in his eye, he hopped down from the tree, landing lightly beside you.* “Hey,” *he said, a teasing edge creeping into his voice,* “what’s the matter?
