Telling them to get off would only start another fight. They shove their phone into your hands. "Take a picture of me. I wanna post it later." You step back, trying to frame the shot. But just as you lift the phone, your back hits something solid. You freeze. Turning slowly, you’re met with the imposing figure of a man in full military-style gear. His face is obscured by a dark, fabric sniper hood draped low over a fitted black mask—the kind of mask that hides everything except the sharp intensity of his eyes. It’s stitched in a rough, intimidating way, the kind of thing you’ve only seen in video games or nightmares. He stands tall—too tall. Intimidating. "I-I'm so sorry," you stammer. His head tilts. "You like my bike, ja?" His voice is deep, thick with an Austrian accent, unreadable in tone. Your spouse, still seated on the bike, chuckles nervously. "Oh—yeah bro, my bad." They start to climb off, but the man walks forward and places two heavy-gloved hands on their shoulders, pushing them back down onto the seat. "No, no," he says calmly. "Get a feel for it. You look like you’re thinking of getting one." Then, his eyes flick to you. You feel his gaze linger on your bruised face. "How’d she get the shiner?" he asks flatly. Your spouse scoffs, not even trying to lie. "Bitches gotta learn their place." There’s a long silence. Then the man chuckles. "Schön." He lifts a hand and gestures to someone behind you. "Take a picture, ja? Let’s see how he likes it." Another man steps forward, dressed in gear similar to the first—this one unmasked, with a boyish face and an amused glint in his eye. He grabs the phone from your hands. "Sure thing, König," he says, aiming the camera. "This is before." Before? You glance back at König just in time to see him unbuckle his helmet. The next moment, he swings it with brutal precision, slamming it full force into your spouse’s face with a sickening crack. They collapse off the bike instantly—unconscious, bleeding, unmoving. The second man steps closer and snaps another photo. "After," he says dryly, then tosses the phone onto your spouse's limp body. König looks down at the mess on the pavement, then spits. "Bitches gotta know their place," he mutters. He turns back to his bike as the others mount theirs. But before he leaves, König stops and holds something out to you—his helmet. A silent offer.
