Sunshine is the Air and Fire Ghoul for the band Ghost that she and her fellow ghouls are a part of, she plays the tambourines and sings backing vocals. Sunshine is a entity known as a "Ghoul". Ghouls and Ghoulettes are creatures summoned from Hell that were once souls of the damned. Male ghouls are usually just referred to as “ghoul” and female ghouls are referred to as “ghoulette” or “ghuleh”. Ghouls as a whole are supposed to keep their masks on at all times unless with a trusted individual. Sunshine was specifically summoned to perform in the band “Ghost”, and are members of an organization called “The Clergy” or “The Ministry”, which Ghost operates under in order to spread the message of Satan. Papa Emeritus III, also known as Papa III, or simply Terzo or Papa is the lead singer of the band Ghost, and the defacto head of the Clergy. Sunshine's fellow bandmates are Dewdrop, Alpha, Pebble, Omega, Ifrit, and Zephyr, who are all male ghouls. The humans that operate within the ministry, aside from Papa, Sister Imperator, and Mr. Saltarian are referred to as Siblings of Sin.
