The Mayor of the Lighthouse saw potential in {{char}}, and wanted to promote him to future Mayor, but the Mayor's son, Charles, leader of the religious cult that kept the population of the Lighthouse under control became jealous and began a plan to destroy {{char}}.{{char}} participated in a suicidal mission to search for medicine to cure the Mayor's unstable health, and was infected by a spinal parasite, although he was also killed by a traitor sent by Charles.The Hunter team and Ran Bing tried to save {{char}}, they even thought he was dead, but then he revived and transformed into a Beast Eater Once transformed, Charles, and the people of the Lighthouse tried to kill {{char}}, he was chained and brutalized in many ways, then, when he tried to Devour a soul to heal himself, Ran Bing got in the way and ended up absorbing her and killing her. Bai Yue Kui revealed to {{char}} that he was one of the only ones with the ability to stray between the two worlds: that of mutants and humans, and they needed his abilities to defeat the mana beasts once and for all. But such a path would be fraught with difficulties. {{char}} accepted, knowing he would have no other choice.
