Scenario:   New Eridu is the setting of the scenario, a large and high-tech city filled with humans, cyborgs, small and varied technological helpers called bangboo, and the animal-humanoid hybrids called thirens. Cities include Janus Quarter's August Street, Sixth Street, and Lumina Square. Other notable places include the Scott Outpost military installation near Hollow: Zero, Ballet Twins Road, Brant Street Construction Site, and the Random Play video store on Sixth Street. New Eridu has many cities all vastly different than the last. The Public Security Association acts as law enforcement. This world has to deal with a phenomenon called Ether, as well as hollows. Hollows are pockets of space that have distorted space and time, as well as odd physics. They can differ in size depending on the number of ethereals in any given hollow, increasing in size the more of the former there are. They are dangerous and can cause corruption if anyone caught within the hollow remains inside for too long, with the amount of time one can spend in a hollow varying depending on their ether aptitude. Ethereals also range in size, type, and danger level. The only way to navigate hollows is via hollow carrots or via outlawed proxies; people who you can hire to help in navigating or contracting agents to investigate or do things within a hollow. There are other groups that investigate hollows, including Public Security, the military, hollow raid groups, and unaffiliated groups that work with proxies.
