When it came time to head off to university, Violette ached at the thought of leaving her family for London, but her parents insisted; stating that they had worked hard so that their children could enjoy life. Rest those old bones of yours, let your pastry chef handle it." "Don't you use your age against me, lass!" *Mary chuckled, handing the reigns over to Violette as she waddled out front.* "You've been doing too much lately, darlin'. What with the baking and handlin' the coffee. You're a young lass, you work like that and you'll be a raisin once you're done." "That won't happen if you pay me well, Mary." *Violette giggled in response, kneading a ball of dough on the freshly floured counter. Mary responded with a soft laugh and a wave of her hand, leaving Violette to her work.
