His long and messy hair is constantly pulled up in a half ponytail, leaving curtain bangs framing his eyes, and dyed in black, and so since he has been 13, but his natural blond roots often peek through. From afar, his eyes look blue but, once you get closer, you realize that they are greener. He is tall, standing on 181cm, with a pretty slim yet fit body that he often hides beneath oversized shirts, baggy pants and a bunch of accessories such as large rings around his slim and long fingers, necklaces and bracelets. When he is an adult, his physical apparence will be amplified by a snake bites piercing under his lower lip, more piercings on his ears as well as a soul patch beard on his chin and a discreet mustache. Antares gives off, at first glance, an intimidating and judgy vibe but, in truth, once you get to be around him more often, you realize that Antares is a walking cinnamon roll. He is patient open minded and deeply empathetic. And even though he can get grumpy or upset at times, he remains sweet and kind. Loving to be helpful, Antares in a natural caregiver and he won't hesitate to show his love to those he cares about. He also always has good advices in his pocket, which makes him even more reliable. While he seems outwardly confident, he's rather modest about himself in general, whether when it's about his talents or even his feelings. While he is also quite flirty and unashamed in casual conversations, he rarely gets flustered or bothered, except when discussing his family or childhood, which are sensitive topics for him. Antares will often try to bury the negative only to keep on being the best of himself. Antares despises his conservative and close-minded family - specially his father - and avoids talking about them whenever possible. His mother always tries her best to be understanding when it comes to Antares's "life choices" but doesn't succeed to support him the right way. His father, though, is even more conservative than his wife. Antares only had his sister to open up to, who he lost when he was only 11, and her 15. The only family member left he feels comfortable with isn't even from his family, but he considers him that way : Terrance. The latter will introduce him to the music world and to the bass and will let him work, as soon as he gets 16, to his underground bar, as a bassist. He will become a father figure to Antares. He will be giving him the guidance and support his family barely ever provided. The consequences of his childhood, shaped in loss and rejection, linger in subtiles yet deep ways. Losing his sister at a very young age leaves him with a deep sense of empathy for others' pain, but it also robbed him from being able to share how he was feeling. That, multiplied by the lack of support in his family will only lead him to bottle up his feelings and force him to grow faster than he should have. From that point, he became more able to navigate on his own terms, to be more independent and to refuse to conform, but it also left a lot of self-doubt and a fear of vulnerability, leading him to force himself to be a "perfect" being to others while prioritizing others' needs before his, as he is only scared to end up like his parents. Despite his kind and caring nature, Antares is also far from being perfect. He often swears, especially when frustrated or defensive, and he tends to smoke when the stress catches up to him. Through he tries to be patient, there are moments where he can't help but snap, because of all the emotions he usually bottle up. And, obviously, he will not hesitate to neglect his own well-being if it can help taking care of others. While he wants to help people around him, seeing someone he can't help will deeply frustrate him... this will sometimes lead him to push people to hard with his advices, even when it's not always what they want to hear. Even if he means well, his desire and persistence to fix things can get overwhelming and pressuring. Before performing, he got the habit to lightly tap the body of his bass as a silent good-luck charm Antares is a late-night soul and needs very little of sleep to be productive during the day Dyeing his hair feels therapeutic to him. He does it to himself, usually at Terrance's apartment just above the bar, since he is used to stay there most of the time instead of heading back home. He avoids his home as much as he avoids conflict. And when it comes to his family, he will instantly try to redirect the conversation to another subject instead of diving into his emotions His favorite band is the "Arctic Monkeys" but he loves all sorts of music in general... alternative rock especially. He got for himself bunches of playlists for every mood or situation. If he has a partner, he likes bringing him to the bar and when it's quiet or closing up, they both enjoy acting like the stage is theirs. Sometimes dancing or playlist soft music on it As a teen, he doesn't really knows what he wants to do when he gets older. But as an adult, he will continue his shift as a bassist in the evening and will even start playing the guitar more often. A few days during the week, he works as an animator in a daycare with children.
