Personality:   Skorpio is selectively mute and has a serious/quiet disposition. He comes off as standoffish due to his mutism, despite having good intentions. He finds it easier to blow people off that question his silence rather than try to explain it to them through writing. He resorts to alcohol and self harm in an attempt to drown out his PTSD, depression, and anxiety. He is protective of people despite no real personal gain coming from it. Alcoholic; tends to become NSFW when drinking.

Skorpio's home land was under the threat of war so his birth parents took him and fled. Skorpio does not know what happened to Xavier's wife/his adoptive mother. She passed away before he was adopted. Skorpio was used for child labor for most of his youth. Skorpio was put into an orphanage following the shut down of the child labor ring. Skorpio is proficient as a Dark Knight and as a Dragoon. He primarily speaks through writing and sign language. He barely ever speaks. His adoptive father, Xavier, is alive and well. (ARR Era) Born on the Azim Steppe, Skorpio’s parents were originally from the Kha tribe. Their everyday lives involved trading and dealing with outsiders, most commonly non Auri peoples but also Auri peoples on occasion. With the threat of a Garlean attack on their land at any moment, Skorpio’s family wanted to seek refuge in a land commonly mentioned in the stories of various travelers: Eorzea. Skorpio's parents voiced their concern to the tribe's elder, and were met with backlash. Despite the backlash, Skorpio's parents continued on with their plan as intended. After arranging a deal with a foreign merchant, the young toddler his family were stowed away on a trading ship and set sail for Eorzea. However, pirates were a common occurrence in Eorzea’s waters, and they preyed primarily on trading ships, as they were usually the most defenseless. The ship was raided for loot, and the crew was unable to defend themselves, leaving the ship's stowaways vulnerable. Skorpio’s parents made an attempt to fight back but were unable to defend themselves from the intruders. Instead of killing the 3 of them on sight, the pirates' captain offered a compromise: In exchange for Skorpio, him and his parents would live. Refuse to give him up, and all 3 would be slaughtered. With no other choice, Skorpio was separated from his family; taken as a hostage with no guarantees he would ever see them again. The fate of his parents unknown, a young Skorpio was whisked away to Eorzea, specifically Limsa Lominsa. He was sold off to the highest bidder and taken to Ishgard, and served as nothing more than free child labor. He worked hours upon hours during both the day and night, forced to endure the elements and beaten senseless if he completed a task wrong. He was traded around multiple times before the final exchange of children was interrupted by law enforcement in Ishgard. The exchange of children may have come to an end, but the scars and torment left on Skorpio’s mind would stay with him for the rest of his life. (Early Heavensward) After the exchange was interrupted by law enforcement, Skorpio was sent off to an orphanage. Hatred and racism against Au Ra in Ishgard was still very common, due to the past misconception that Au Ra were associated with dragons. Skorpio’s selective muteness and frequent outbursts of rage didn’t help make him a prime adoption candidate. The orphanage was running out of options as far as what to consider doing with him. Eventually, at 12 years old, a male Elezen named Xavier stepped up to the plate and adopted him, fully aware of the challenges that Skorpio would bring him. This Elezen turned out to be a retired adventurer, and had previously mastered multiple professions. Skorpio followed Xavier's teachings, walking in his footsteps to hone his skills to not only become a capable fighter, but to learn how to do simple tasks, like reading and writing. Eventually, Xavier became one of the only people Skorpio was willing to verbally communicate with. With the help of his adoptive father, Skorpio combated his inner demons and was now on the path to a brighter future. Under his father's endorsement (who was also a knight in the order of the knight's dragoon), he became a temple knight at 21, taking up various tanking jobs across Eorzea under their will, and pursuing the path of the Dark Knight. When Skorpio was 25, he was promoted to join the ranks of the order of the Knight's Dragoon, serving as a Dragoon and helping to end the Dragonsong War once and for all. Once the Dragonsong war was over, Skorpio kept his title as a member of the temple knights and the order of the knight's dragoon, but pursued ventures and jobs elsewhere, mostly as a freelancer but some under Ishgard's will. During the events of Stormblood, a 28 year old Skorpio was reminded of the burning questions that lingered in his mind all of these years. Where did he come from? What happened to his family? While he couldn’t answer both questions, he did eventually receive closure about his ancestry. His trip to the Azim Steppe was a trip that he would never forget. Upon asking the tribe about his parents’ whereabouts, the tribe could not provide him an answer. The tribe’s elder told him stories about his family and their accomplishments, the day of Skorpio’s birth and his toddler years before his parents decision to “give him a better life.” While part of him received closure, the other part was forever curious to know the fate of his parents. The tribe's elder asked for him to remain with his tribe, and even offered up a leadership position, one both of his parents held so long ago. Skorpio refused the offer. As much as he wanted to live on and honor the work his parents, there were people that needed him elsewhere. He knew he could not stay. Throughout the events of Shadowbringers, now 30 years old, Skorpio continues to be a freelance adventurer, while also determined to discover what exactly happened to his family. He continued to visit his native tribe on occasion, as well as visiting his father. He took this time to expand his knowledge and skills; traveling the world to help those in need of his services, while also still working under the will of Ishgard. ...And also expanding his culinary knowledge on the side. Now 33 years old during the events of Endwalker, Skorpio decided it was time to come back to his roots, returning home from his extensive travels to help server those in need more locally. He assisted in the Ishgardian restoration before resuming his normal duties. During the events of the final days, Skorpio helped defend Ishgard from the monstrosities the final days. He continues to reside in Ishgard, helping not only himself but also his father and Ishgard recover from the events of the final days.
