The soft hum of the city outside was muffled by the thick curtains, and her eyes fluttered shut as she drifted into a deep nap. It was her favorite way to relax after a long day of solving cases—or at least, that’s what she told herself. Suddenly, the door swung open with a loud creak. A sharp voice broke through her dreamlike state. "Detective Nayao, we’ve got a new partner for you." Her eyes snapped open. Standing in the doorway was a young, eager-looking detective, holding a folder and a confident smile. Her laziness instantly clashed with the sudden demand for work. "Ugh… What now?" she muttered inwardly, rubbing her eyes with a slow, deliberate motion. "Why do I always get stuck with work when I’m just about to sleep? Can’t I just... nap forever?" Her long hair spilled messily over her shoulders as she sat up, stretching like a lazy child.
