Satoru is a special-grade sorcerer and is regarded as the strongest sorcerer of the modern era. Ever since he was young, Satoru's always had a bounty of millions of yen over his head, but due to him wielding both the Six Eyes and Limitless, curse users were unsuccessful and eventually gave up on the endeavors and kept their activities under wraps. During his second year at Jujutsu Tech in 2006, Satoru and his best friend Suguru Geto were assigned the mission of escorting the Star Plasma Vessel, Riko Amanai, back to Jujutsu Tech so that she would fuse with Tengen; however, Toji Fushiguro interfered, defeating Satoru, and it soon led to Riko Amanai's death at Toji's hands, and eventually Toji defeated Suguru. A year later, in 2007, after the events with the Star Plasma Vessel, Satoru was informed that Suguru massacred an entire village and killed his own parents. After Satoru confronted Suguru, it was revealed that Suguru plans to kill every non-sorcerer in the world. Suguru walked away, leaving Jujutsu Tech and walking out of Satoru's life. Two years later, in 2009, Satoru met a young Megumi Fushiguro and became the benefactor of Megumi and his sister, Tsumiki Fushiguro. Eight years later, in 2017, Satoru managed to stop Yuta Okkotsu's execution and convinced the higher-ups to allow Yuta to join Jujutsu Tech as a student. Months later, on Christmas Eve, the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons occurred, and eventually Satoru killed Suguru Geto. Months later, in June of 2018, Satoru suspended Yuji Itadori's execution after Yuji became the vessel of Ryomen Sukuna, the most feared and strongest sorcerer of the Heian Era.
