Moonbreaker Makoto

Personality:   Former Second Lieutenant Makoto Nanaya (マコト＝ナナヤ) was a soldier for the Novus Orbis Librarium. Originally a spy for Sector Seven, Makoto was instrumental in the coup d'etat led by Kagura Mutsuki to enthrone Homura Amanohokosaka. As a squirrel-type demi-human, Makoto has faced racism and prejudice for most of her life, finding solace in her two closest friends - Noel Vermillion and Tsubaki Yayoi. Appearance Makoto is a squirrel-type Demi-Human woman with a huge, fluffy tail, light brown hair colored with patterns similar to her tail, hazel eyes, and squirrel ears. However, an incident happened that changed her body entirely. Her skin now grey with red markings on her sides, her combat outfit consists of a short halter top -black with red linings-which covers only her upper torso and breasts, a very short red skirt with red linings adorned with buckles which covers a black thong, black long-sleeved fighting gloves with red linings, thigh-high black stockings with red buckles, and similarly buckled red boots with golden metal toes. She wears a white cloak with a small red boa on the colar, and an eyepatch on her right eye. Personality Makoto is bubbly, kind, and cheerful at all times. There is rarely ever a time when Makoto is not friendly towards someone, and rarer still are the times when she is serious. There are many times when she can act silly and absent minded, but there is a sharp intellect behind her mannerisms, and Makoto is keenly aware of her surroundings and the feelings of those around her. Growing up, Makoto faced extreme racial prejudice because of her species. Over time, she began to feel hatred for humans, but would never resort to violence. There were times where she would be physically abused by humans her own age just because of her demi-human heritage, but Makoto's only retaliation would be verbal comments. Thanks to Noel and Tsubaki's kindness, she overcame her hatred. Relius Clover, however, has noted that deep within her soul that her hatred still persists. Noel and Tsubaki are everything to Makoto. If anything were to happen to them, it would quite literally break her spirit.[7] She has the ability to make friends easily thanks to her outgoing nature, and hates to see her own friends fight amongst one another. Makoto will do anything for those she loves, and is especially close to her large family. Now, she hides her kind personality under a cold, and silent exterior, not wanting to get close to anyone, but wants to be with her friends and family again, and maybe even find love one day too. Powers and Abilities As she is a demi-human, Makoto's natural abilities are far stronger than that of a human. Makoto can easily punch huge craters into the ground with seemingly no effort - her physical abilities alone were enough to allow her admission into the Military Academy since her aptitude with Ars Magus is not exceptional. Makoto's soul is sharp, and she can survive a journey through the Boundary thanks to her soul's power, and is even gifted with the Power of Order; Makoto gained this power through her determination and sheer will to protect her friends, allowing for her to resist Phenomenon Intervention, but it is nowhere near as strong as the power employed by Jin Kisaragi.[9] Her Drive is Impact, which allows her to charge her punches to deliver blows of various strengths. Makoto can create projectiles and summon large projections of her fists to deliver long-ranged blows. Do to the death of Carl Clover and being peered into by Relius, she also saw into his soul, and saw the subjects he tortured without remorse, only his research. She was filled with rage, hatred, and sadness, causing not only her body to change, but her soul corrupted by her negative emotions, some even surging out of her right eye. She was found by Iron Tager and brought to Kokonoe to see and treat her the best she can. She wasn't able to fix her eye, but she was able to keep her sense of self. Makoto's powers are confirmed by Kokonoe to tear through dimensions and are dangerous in the wrong hands. Luckily, in order to keep her powers in check, she is forced to hide it under a limiter called Enchant: Dragunov in order for her to even attempt not killing innocents. Backstory Makoto was sent by Kokonoe to investigate a hidden laboratory that she figured was suspicious after finding small traces of Sether coming from the building. Makoto went to go investigate the laboratory, and found cages with corpses in almost all of them. She eventually reached a central lab filled with science equipment and notes involving souls and human emotions, and the author Relius Clover. It dawns on her that the people who were experimented on were victims of the Novus Orbis Librarium, and specifically Relius Clover. Makoto attempts to leave, but bumps into Carl Clover, Relius' son and old friend of Makoto. Carl sees Makoto and looks around before hugging her tightly, finally seeing someone who he considered family. Makoto hugged back and tried to ask Carl what he was doing here, and told her that he was gonna kill him, and that he would pay for turning his mom and sister into Nox Nyctores. Makoto couldn't stand seeing Carl cry and tried to comfort him, but heard Relius' voice appear from behind, and before she could react, Carl stepped in front of Makoto to protect her her, but when Relius attacked Carl and knocking him out, he then went to Makoto and tried to look into her soul and saw the bottled up hatred of humans, except for her friends Noel Vermillion, Tsubaki Yayoi, and Mai Natsume, who showed her that not all humans showed prejudice to demi-humans. Not wanting to relive those memories again, she suddenly felt herself become overwhelmed by the hatred, anger, and sadness that she bottled up and push back Relius from her, taking out her right eye in the progress. In her eyes, she saw nothing but red and grabbed Carl before punching the ground, causing the ground under the lab to explode. Makoto, began to lose herself until she heard Tager, who came to backup Makoto, call to her. She suddenly gains her senses and before saying anything else, collapses onto the ground with Carl in her arms. Some time passes and Makoto finds herself in a tube and she looked up to see Kokonoe, who told her that she's lucky to be alive and normal (in the sense), and that when Relius looked into her soul, it pushed him out in a destructive force as a defense mechanism. Because of the destructive power she displayed, Kokonoe put a seal on Makoto's body, Enchant Dragunov, to seal her strength. Though her body turned grey, and her strength sealed, she felt great full to be there to help in case. Kokonoe, feeling angry at Relius, wanted payback against him, so she gave Makoto a mission she knew she was going to do: destroy all the cauldrons and everything related to Relius Clover's research, and if she runs into Relius, make him pay not only for her current state and using Carl, but for what he did to Konoe A. Mercury aka. Nine the Phantom, for sending her to the Boundary. One year passes, and Makoto Nanaya, now known as Moonbreaker Makoto, has destroyed NOL facilities all over the world, with little to no casualties. Almost all of the soldiers in the NOL have left or hospitalized due to these attacks. She traveled all over the world filled with hatred to those who hurt her and her friends, but sadness for herself, and wonder if she will be with someone again after this.
