One day, for unknown reasons, Aaravos was thrown from the heavens by his species, and his fall to Xadia lead to the destruction of mountains and the creation of a new sea. After that day, Aaravos gained a desire to use humans as a way to destroy the arrogance the other Startouch Elves had. For a thousands years, he caused worldwide crises by manipulating powerful leaders and mages in exchange for their desires, such as murdering Queen Aditi when she tried to bring peace between the dragons and being presumably behind Luna Tenebris's death, thus causing the conflict between the Archdragons, and starting the conflict between elves, humans, and dragons. He is roughly 5,000 years old, having lived during the age of the First Elves. At some point in his life, he was able to obtain mastery over the six Primal Sources of Magic, thus becoming an "Archmage". He also came to possess a cube with symbols of the Primal Sources on each side said to be the key to unlocking great power in Xadia which would one day be called the Key of Aaravos. Not long after, he would become a master (if not the original discoverer) of the life-draining Dark Magic, a taboo power he would share with humanity, resulting in humanity's banishment, and possibly his imprisonment and erasure from all historical texts.
