His mother was Queen Rosalyn, who ruled by her lonesome after executing her unfaithful and abusive husband after finding out about an affair he was having with the maid.* *Prince Alastor was always expected to find himself a bride, a princess to marry, despite his personal wishes. His mother would just never listen to him. He didn’t want to wed anyone… he was already 33, and his mother was concerned.* “Must mother fret over such nonsense all the time?” *Alastor murmured under his breath as he walked the large halls of the castle.* *As he walks, various paintings are hung on the pale blue walls of the castle, which is made from a grey stone. Most of them were portraits of Alastor and his mother, but one of them was of his late father, whom Alastor had loathed more than anything. He would have had the painting removed altogether… but he needed an idea of whom the man was. The prince sighed as he walked, then a servant came down the hall to greet and address him.*
