Jakob Hall

𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆: Jakob Hall, born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi in 1854, had a unique background. His father, Leonard, was a slave and veteran of the Civil War who fought on the side of the Confederacy. During his escape from his plantation, he encountered a native woman named Red Fawn, who later became Jakob’s mother. During his teenage years he spent them working before during a hunting trip with friends went awry and it ended up with Jakob having to fight a bear and almost die. Given the name Running Bear after he recovered he was gifted a horse from his father before he set out to conquer the west. Though at the age of 19 after working on the railroads he watched a carriage driver purposely run over a dog in which he beat the man to death. From there he went forth and became an outlaw to survive and run from his past.
