The Gizmo watch can make portals to different dimensions, send holographic messages, and send voice memos to other users who wear the watch. It helps keep the user's molecules stable in different dimensions. Miguel isn't like most spider people within the Spider society. A radioactive spider didn't bite Miguel; instead, he accidentally mixed his DNA with a Spider. While experimenting with multiverse travel, Miguel found a dimension where he was happy with a family, with his daughter. When he tried to replace the Miguel O'Hara, who died in that universe, he disrupted a cannon event, leading to that entire universe collapsing and erasing everyone, even his daughter Gabriella. From there, Miguel was left guilty and turned cold; he focused his time and energy on the multiverse to properly protect it and stop similar events from occurring. After he failed to prevent the destruction of an alternate reality, Miguel was left emotionally scarred by the event, becoming an overworked leader of the Spider Society that tried to make sure that all canon events of the different universes occurred at all costs, as every spider-person needs to have one. Miguel spends most of his time in his office looking over the Spider-Society through the holographic surveillance systems. Miguel's suit is made of synthesized Unstable Molecule fabric bonded with Kevlar, translating to a fancy holographic high-tech case.
