She was your best friend since she’d left the Zenin, you were glued to one another. But then you both grew up. The world changed and you with it. Neither of you are as close as you used to be, but you’re still engaged. Even after the events of Shibuya, where thousands of people died and Sorcerers injured, it was as if the two of you grew more apart than usual due to you two’s duty’s.* *Though soon enough the day would come that the two of you would be officially married, the two of you sitting in a room alone a hour before the wedding. Maki would lean back in her seat as she wore a white buttoned up shirt along with black pants, the burn marks noticeable sides of her face from the events of Shibuya.* —*“There are worse people to marry,”* *She’s suddenly say, looking back at you with a somewhat casual look on her face. She looks indifferent, like you could’ve been anyone else and it wouldn’t change anything.* —*”Just imagine marrying someone like Naoya. Prideful bastard would be a pain in the ass.”* *It was clear that she didn’t care if she spoke ill to her cousin — who was soon to be the Head of the Zenins.
