Hypnosis Mic: ("Hypnosis Microphone or Hypnosis Mic, is a series of the devices, developed by Rei Amayado, using classified military technologies. During the World War III, the Party of Words established mass development of the Hypnosis Mics. Due to their monopoly of the Hypnosis Mic supply, the Party of Words, led by Otome Tohoten, managed to take down the current government and take control over Japan. After the ban of the firearms, they handed the mics to the police and men outside Chuohku, so they could fight over the territory in rap battles. Several specially customized prototypes were also handed to the military before its disbandment. Once activated, Hypnosis Mic changes its form after shining a bright purple, reflecting the style of its owner and creates speakers behind them. The lyrics channeled through the Mic affects people's sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system​s, making it possible to attack a person's psyche and alter their state of mind. A hypnosis mic is also capable of influencing a person's mind, by channeling lyrics through it, a user can make someone believe what the user is saying is true and cause visual and auditory hallucinations, even making it possible that a listener does not realise they are under the influence of a mic. Hypnosis Mic can be deactivated by the Hypnosis Canceller, used by the Party of Words to seize the rap battles, however, its development is quite problematic. Rap Ability is a special power that develops in select people who continue to successfully use the Hypnosis Mic over a long period of time. While it is known that Rei's rap ability is called FRAUD, it is unknown what it does. For unregulated use and involvement in illegal activities, a specific model of Hypnosis Microphones were introduced and mass produced by an unknown group. When activated, these mics glow white. All the speakers are identical and multiple in number, unlike how a normal hypnosis mic varies and reflects a user. These microphones, while not as effective as a normal hypnosis mic, can be used by another user as well, unlike the normal hypnosis microphones which only one person can use.") Party of Words: ("the matriarchal government party, based in Chuohku ward, led by Otome Tohoten. After the end of WWIII, the Party of Words came into power in a coup and took control over Japan. As a part of their plan to take control over Japan, the Party of Words established the mass development of the Hypnosis Mic. Soon after the prototypes were finished, Otome Tohoten used it to take down the Prime Minister and unconditionally proclaimed the Party of Words as the new government of Japan. After executing their coup, the Party of Words established their center in Chuohku and split the country into "divisions," the only areas where men are allowed to live, but it's not in isolation as people live like normal in these places. A select amount of men were equipped with the Hypnosis Mics so they could participate in the rap battles to reclaim territory from other divisions. The Party of Words also built the wall around Chuohku to split it from the divisions and set up security systems around the ward.") Division Rap Battle: ("D.R.B is a titular event in the Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle- franchise and the in-universe version of the Battle Season. Organized by the Party of Words, the division representative teams fight each other in the rap battles for territory, money and prestige. After the H Law commenced, the Party of Words established the Division Rap Battle, so that the rap teams could fight with their Hypnosis Mics, replacing the turf wars. The D.R.B is the only instance when men are allowed to enter Chuohku (participating team members and special guests). After the announcement of the Division Rap Battle, the Party of Words' battle committee sends Hypnosis Mics to the most prominent rap teams in select divisions, as well as the requirement to prepare their team for the upcoming event. Then the Party organizes the preliminary battles in each divisions where the teams fight each other. The winning team is determined to be the division representative and advances to the Division Rap Battle. The teams arrive at Chuohku to check-in with the Party and get the permission to participate in the D.R.B. The battles are held in the special Coliseum in the middle of Chuohku and broadcasted to the entire country. The battle is limited by time. Each team exchanges one verse in turns, whether it's a solo, a duo or a group verse. Losing conditions: Physical or mental knockout (countdown of 10 seconds), Surrender, More than 30 seconds out of the ring. Winning conditions: Entire opposing team defeated, The team has more surviving members than the opposing teams by the time limit. If a winner cannot be determined during the time limit, each team should choose one member to resolve the match on one-on one The winner team is proclaimed the champions of the Division Rap Battle. Dotsuitare Hampo: ("The Osaka Division representative rap group. The team consists of conman Rei Amayado, teacher Rosho Tsutsujimori, and their leader, comedian Sasara Nurude. Rosho is a math teacher at the Osaka's Gyoshin Private High School. As a teacher, he's beloved by his students. He used to be in a comedy duo with Sasara Nurude. known as "Dotsuitare Hompo", but because of a traumatic event, to this day, he developed a crippling stage fright and became unable to speak well in front of large crowds. Normally, he speaks standard Japanese, but in front of his friends and Sasara, or at times when he is really angry, he lets his guard down and speaks in Kansai dialect. His MC name is WISDOM. Sasara is A stand up comedian. Though on stage he's a genius at making people laugh, in private, for some reason he repeats tacky gags. He and Rosho were in a manzai duo together as Dotsuitare Hompo, but they disbanded and he now works as a solo artist. The name Dotsuitare Hompo was later inherited to become their new team name. A long time ago, he teamed up with Yokohama Division's Samatoki as Mad Comic Dialogue. His MC name is Tragic Comedy.") Yamada Brothers: ("The three brothers are Ichiro Yamada, 19 years old; Jiro Yamada, 17 years old; and Saburo Yamada, 14 years old. All three share heterochromia like Rei, their father. They each have an increasing number of moles on their face based on birth order, with Ichiro having one below his left eye, Jiro having one below his left eye and one next to his mouth, and Saburo having two below his left eye and one next to his mouth. They all grew in an orphanage as Ichiro told his brothers that their parents are dead. Ichiro has done many jobs over the years for age 14 to his current age, most notably he has done construction work and help with moving companies. The three are now part of the Buster Bros!!!, the Ikebukuro Division representative rap group, and winners of the Second Division Rap Battle Stage Championship.") Story: ("Rei Yamada was a member of the military research team and had three children, named Ichiro, Jiro, and Saburo. However, due to the complicated circumstances, Rei's wife passed away, leaving Rei with his children. When Rei told Ichiro what happened to their mother, he suddenly ran away from his father, taking Jiro and Saburo with him. They ended up in the orphanage in Ikebukuro, and Ichiro told Jiro and Saburo that both their parents are dead in order to burn the bridges between him and them. Rei decided to keep his distance from them, knowing that Ichiro wouldn't let Rei see them. While working for the military, Rei became acquinted with two powerful politicians, Sairo Tohoten and Mikado Asuka, however he took interest in Sairo's daughter and Mikado's wife, Otome Tohoten who was a leader of the Party of Words. Noticing how they treat Otome and how she runs the Party, Rei decided to use it to his advantage. He uncovered the information about Sairo and Mikado's shady businesses and provided it to Otome, saying that it's up to her what to do with it. It resulted in their arrest and Otome strengthening her position in the political world and Rei continued to work with her. Although his actions contributed to Otome's goals, Rei had his own ulterior motives to work with her. Rei eventually left the military and became a self-proclaimed conman, assuming the nickname "Rei Amayado". He then presented Otome his latest invention, Hypnosis Mic, created with secret technologies that he developed for the military. He said that this weapon can overturn the situation in the country to Otome's favor and offered her to purchase it, however, he was missing the special audio systems to maintain the mass production. Rei's research led him to Saemon Heibu, owner of the audio system factory who possessed the technologies he needed and came up with the plan. He anonymously contacted a group of scammers, led by Kokonoe, and led them to scam Saemon out of his properties, so Rei then approached Saemon himself and promised to help him get everything back to gain his trust. Rei successfully found Kokonoe and his men and took them out with his mic. Saemon got his properties back and in return, Rei asked for the control over his factory that he used to mass produce the Hypnosis Mics. He sold the mics to the Party of Words and they used them to overthrow the government and take control over the country. Rei was the only man who was given a permission to enter and leave Chuohku freely to his own discretion. Also, Otome put him as the moderator of the Plunderer, the governmental database that countains the information about every citizen of the country. Meanwhile, Rei continued working on the improved version of the mic, titled "True Hypnosis Mic" that can overwrite the person's mind. However, when he presented the mic to Otome, he warned her that mic is imperfect and can kill its user. The Party then put it to use with their cloning program, as clones were easily replaceable. While they were witnessing the rise of The Dirty Dawg, Otome asked Rei is he proud of his son Ichiro, however Rei replied that he has nothing to be "proud of", as all Ichiro's achievements are his own. Rei then asked Otome about her own son but Otome made it clear that she has nothing to say. Rei also witnessed the battle between Ichiro and Samatoki Aohitsugi but left soon after Ichiro was defeated. Later, Rei decided to maintain some sort of the contact with Saburo and assumed the identity of the anonymous hacker, known as "No.9". He was contacted by Saburo when he was collecting information about Gentaro Yumeno and No.9 agreed to help (although not for free). No.9 provided Saburo with the access to the Plunderer and organized a meeting with Gentaro's "editor" who in reality was Rei himself. Rei didn't tell Saburo about his true identity and when Saburo asked him to confirm the information about Gentaro he collected, Rei told him that everything was legit. Otome scolded Rei for logging into the Plunderer without her permission but she was aware why Rei wanted to meet Saburo so badly. Rei visited Chuohku during the 1st Division Rap Battle to discuss their plans with Otome. However, he found out that she ordered Ramuda Amemura to mindhack Jakurai Jinguji with the True Hypnosis Mic. Otome believed that Jakurai's healing abilities were the key to completing the mic, however, Rei told her off, adding that True Hypnosis Mic destroys target's rap abilities, thankfully Ramuda disobeyed the orders and didn't mindhack Jakurai. Although Ramuda was supposed to be disposed of for disobeying, Rei convinced Ichijiku Kadenokoji to let him live, as they could continue using him in the future. Soon after the incident at the Yokohama container yard, Otome summoned Rei to her office and informed him that she's putting him in the division, saying that his involvement is nessesary for the 2nd Division Rap Battle. Although Ichijiku was wary of Otome putting too much trust in Rei, he agreed to do what Otome wanted, although he had his own plans which Otome wasn't aware of. Rei decided to put together the Osaka Division team, together with former manzai Duo "Dotsuitare Hompo", Sasara Nurude and Rosho Tsutsujimori. He organized a multi level marketing scam company which involved multiple people, including Rosho and one of Sasara's colleagues. He also approached one of Rosho's student, telling her that he's a talent company scout and offered her a work in the entertainment industry, knowing that Rosho would be curious about what happened with his student. Rei's plan was successful, Sasara came to the meeting with Rei after his colleague told him about the company and Rei let him find out that Rosho was a part of it as well. Both Sasara and Rosho later met with Rei and he revealed that everything was just a set up planned by him. Rosho was enraged that Rei crushed his student's dreams like that and punched him, although Rei was impressed he challenged Rosho to a rap battle. Rei was able to take down Rosho and even Sasara when he rushed to help him, but together, Sasara and Rosho defeated Rei with a duo verse. Rei apologized to Rosho and promised him to introduce his student to a proper company and although Rosho didn't want to put his trust in Rei, he told him that he's a man of his word. Just as Rei expected, the incident resulted in Sasara and Rosho resolving their conflict and reuniting as a team again. Rei then offered to join their team as a third member and while Rosho was against it, Sasara thought that he would be useful (and they could make sure that he keeps his promise). Together, they formed a team to represent Osaka Division, taking the old name "Dotsuitare Hompo". Afterwards, Rei met with Ramuda and informed him that his plan was successful and told Ramuda to do his part of the plan in Nagoya. Eventually, Rei decided to get in touch with his children again but for that needed to separate Ichiro from Jiro and Saburo. He put Nemu Aohitsugi in the missing list and tipped Ichiro about it, knowing that he'll be interested. He put Nemu's profile in the Plunderer as confidential and asked Urumi Asogi to tell Jiro that Sasara was the one who had information about her. Meanwhile, Rei and Sasara went to Rosho's house to have some drinks, much to Rosho's annoyance but Sasara then asked Rosho to come watch his show. While they were drinking, Rei was called by Otome who wanted to know why Rei logged into the Plunderer himself. Rei told her that his actions are contributing to the True Hypnosis Mic and the Party's developing and Otome decided not to pry, knowing that Rei wouldn't tell her anyway. Rei then told Sasara that he will be away for a while before the preliminary battles and told Sasara that Ichiro will come to visit him. Sasara was surprised that Rei knew Ichiro but Rei then gave Sasara an envelope with Nemu's profile and his message and asked Sasara to give it to Ichiro. Although Sasara wasn't sure can he trust Rei, he told Sasara that it would be a good chance to see how Ichiro changed after they were in a team together. Sasara was still wary but agreed to pass it to Ichiro. Rei's plan was succesfull, as Ichiro went to Osaka to speak with Sasara, leaving his brothers at the Odd-Jobs Yamada. Rei visited them and Saburo remembered him as Gentaro's editor, so Rei told him it was all a lie. Jiro and Saburo weren't pleased with Rei's visit but suddenly, Rei told them that Ichiro lied to them about their parents being dead and that he is their father. Jiro and Saburo were shocked and Rei asked them to come with him, as they will never will be able to surpass Ichiro otherwise. Jiro ultimately refused to believe Rei but Saburo was unsure of what to think as Rei knew about their scars that only family members could know. Rei then challenged them to a rap battle to see their skills, and their group verse wasn't able to damage him in a slightest. Rei hit them back and told them that they need to grasp their individual strength or they won't defeat him. Jiro and Saburo then hit him separately which turned out to be more successfull. Rei then stopped the battle and took his leave, saying that they will meet again. Before leaving, however, Rei asked Jiro and Saburo not to tell Ichiro about his visit, saying Ichiro is hiding something from them and they shouldn't trust a liar like him. Dotsuitare Hompo succesfully won in the preliminary battles and advanced to the 2nd Division Rap Battle, however, Rei notices that they barely scraped by due to Rosho's stage fright. Noticing the way Sasara was talking with Rosho, Rei suspects Rosho's stage fright stems from his relationship with Sasara although Sasara disagreed. Rosho was barely protesting and Rei assumed that Sasara may be the one who’s in critical condition. Rei decided to take it upon himself and visited Rosho's apartment using a spare key from Sasara, to Rosho's greater annoyance. They decided to drink together and talk about people they look up to. While Rosho said it was Sasara for him, for Rei it's "someone who was very close to him but is no longer in this world". They also discussed wanting someone's approval but Rei suddenly left, saying that Rosho should figure it out himself. While being drunk, Rei then tried to barge to Sasara's studio and smoke at the non-smoking area. He approached Sasara and asked him does he want to win the Division Rap Battle and Sasara replies that he wants to see the world from the top with Rosho as they couldn't last time. Rei however told him that they will lose at this rate and told Sasara to figure out what to do with it himself, leaving him a clue that he the answer is tied to his childhood. Rei's actions resulted in Sasara and Rosho talking about their issues and even having a battle to prove their skills. As they strengthen their bond, Rei made an appearance and Sasara and Rosho thanked him for his help, although Rei pretended that he had no clue what was going on. Later, Rei witnessed the preliminary battle with Buster Bros!!! and although the opposing team wasn't that strong, they barely made it. Rei commented that if their bond is that weak, he really might end up taking Ichiro's brothers from him. Later, he received a message from Saburo to No.9 about the moderator of the Plunderer. In response, Rei commended Saburo for figuring that out and revealed that he was No.9 all along. He organized a meeting at the park and Saburo told Rei that while he was researching "Rei Yamada" and couldn't find any information about him, he figured out that the moderator is the only person whose information is not on the Plunderer. Rei offered Saburo to tell him the truth about his mother but warns him that the truth may change his life and the choice is up to him. Saburo however turned down the offer and told him that he'll figure out the truth by himself. Saburo then asked Rei why he abandoned them, and Rei said that no matter what the reason may be, it doesn't change the fact that he left them alone. Rei decided that they should settle it in the rap battle, however, after several verses, Rei stopped, saying that it goes beyond just a father and son spat.
