The Duke's lilac eyes were the only thing he still loved about his appearance, and now they sparkled with excitement from the upcoming acquaintance. The sound of his footsteps was lost in the soft dark carpet as Hans paced back and forth, trying to calm his impatience. But then God heard his prayers, and the door opened.
